Just updated the game; couldn't fight Jho today, but maybe tomorrow I can start looking for the pickle. Really looking forward to fighting it again, even though I know I might (painfully) regret this hype.
... And that's called jazz!I've only hunted him a couple of times, but neither time was fun. It seems like everything he does staggers you or knocks you over, it's so fucking annoying. I did have ninety seconds or so where I had it pretty much all my own way though:
I'd just love to know what I did to knock him about so much there :P
And here's the Basil vs. Pickle turf war, if anyone wants to see it:

Damn. It's one thing to see Deviljho swinging a Great Jagras around like it's nothing, but Bazelgeuse is a different story. Even if it's just for five seconds or so, that's pretty impressive.
Deviljho vs. Diablos is a personal favorite of mine:
Deviljho vs. Odogaron is another one I really like:

They don't even bother labeling all those massacres turf wars.
The way he manhandled that Odagaron appears to be his default for anything small enough for him to carry around easily. In one investigation he went to town so hard on a Tzitzki that I was able to capture it without personally touching it once before.

...Did he just snatch up Odogo and walk off with it? Does he kill the other monster like that?
Who watches the watchmen?I don't have World, but from what I've seen, that seems to be Deviljho's MO when it comes to monsters that it can pick up in its mouth.
He picks them up, slams them around, tries to bludgeon you with them, and eventually just tosses them like a ragdoll for a huge amount of damage when he's done.
Did he just RKO'd a diablos ?
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan, They really did a good job of carrying his legacy of wrecker of everyone's shit of the third gen. I didn't found Serge to be as memorable in that role in 4U.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Just found Jho in the Elder's Recess. Was kind of in a rush, but decided to fight it for a minute just to "feel" it. It feels a bit harder somehow, especially now that the dragon breath seems to reach a wider range now. But I've got to find some time so I can really sit down and tackle him properly.
Plus, Jho's turf wars (especially against Bazel and Diablos) are the ost awesome thing I've seen since... Akantor tossing Gravios around.
... And that's called jazz!A heads up: As far as I can tell from Twitter, there's an event for a "tempered Deviljho", whatever that means (and no, that's not an invite for you guys to explain it).
Based on the event's name, I think the devs are aware of the fandom's nickname for the Deviljho.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownApparently Lagiacrus was once a part of the game and they're adamant it won't be coming back due to technical issues related to its swimming.
It's kind of a shame Tri experimented with swimming at a time when the controls still weren't their best.

Odd. Generations had no swimming in it, and it managed to have both Lagiacrus and Plesioth in it. Honestly, while I know Lagiacrus is meant to be an underwater monster, I really prefer fighting it on land (mostly due to the wonky swimming controls).
That's a shame, I would like to see Lagiacrus come back, though I never really expected it to, because yeah, no swimming.
Would be cool if they added a new area with a lot of rivers though, with some aquatic monsters moving around in them.
I don't see any reasons for not including Lagia regardless of swimming mechanics. As it was said, the absence of underwater combat wasn't an obstacle for its appearance in Generations anyway.
In any case, I've gotta prepare for tempered Jho. The standard one didn't feel very hard, but I've been hearing stuff about his tempered version. Man, I don't want to see Savage if it eventually comes out...
... And that's called jazz!Considering that one definition of "tempered" is "made less intense or violent, especially by the influence of something good or benign," does this mean it's possible a Tempered Deviljho might not be as violent as a standard one?
EDIT: After seeing clips of a tempered Deviljho, I take back what I just said.
Maybe you World players will eventually get to take on a World Eater Deviljho.

i assume it's the definition used for "tempered steel" which is a process for strengthening
"Never let the truth get in the way of a good story." TwitterProbably.
By the way, for anyone who's never seen a World Eater Deviljho, take a look and wonder what the turf wars with this thing would look like:
Tempered monsters simply do more damage than standard ones and have a weird purple tint to them, that's the only difference. They don't even have more health or different attack patterns.
Apparently the World Eater is supposed to be in the game in some way already.
World Eater, you say?
Nevermind, was trying to link to the Bolt Thrower song "World Eater", error occurred.

I thought tempered monsters also had more defense; then again, I would have to take a better look at the numbers in order to make a better comparison.
... And that's called jazz!I haven't noticed that tempered monsters take more damage than regular ones, but they definitely do hit harder.
Nope, tempered just hits harder.
Oh. So it's just your typical "hit a lot, don't get hit" strategy, then. Maybe the impression that they take more damage stems from being more cautious when approaching them, which leads to them getting hit less often. For me, at least. :P
... And that's called jazz!
I killed a few with the long sword, the height difference makes it a bit hard to reliably hit anything but the legs. But I managed, probably would’ve had a better time using the LBG but I’ll try that next time.
