Edit: It does. Just right-click the image and select "view image", then copy the URL. Double edit: No it doesn't I don't know how that works.

Some people don't understand what to do with with Boorus. As, if you directly link an image, it'll say "error". When that happens, you need to click on the URL and hit enter.

I guess you could just post the URL and let people paste it into their address bar?

It's a shame this thread isn't as active as it was when 4U was released. I guess I came way too late into the party since only now am I playing 4U. Right now I'm in Chapter 7 of the Caravan campaign, and I've had an extremely difficult time surviving in High Rank since many armors require parts that are only available much later (for example Nova Crystals are very scarce outside Frozen Seaway.... and Frozen Seaway is past the quests I'm currently in. I only managed to build the Cephalos armor thanks to Origami, a gathering Palico, being lucky enough to find a Nova Crystal in a hidden zone).

And before that, it took me 9 tries to defeat Shagaru Magala. The fact that you have to kill it (usually the first Elder Dragon in a MH game gives you the option to just repel it) was such a Player Punch to me that I don't want to imagine how hard Gogmazios is going to be.

My next target is Purple Gypceros. The regular one was already troublesome enough even on Low Rank, so I'm preparing myself for a really frustating quest in the near future.

What's your current weapon and armor set up? I used Gore armor for all of low rank and Shagaru armor for all of high rank and that was more than enough.

• Cephalos armor, defense 267.
• Attack 810 with Barbarian Outcast.
• Skills available: Capture Guru, Defense +1, Detection, Heat Cancel, Half Hunger.

I was able to defeat Purple Gypceros after four tries. I really had a difficult time dealing with pink-colored poison since it's much more harmful than purple one. Same when I had to fight the Nerscyllas in High Rank. Next target is Monoblos for an Urgent Quest.

I never bothered farming anything from Gore Magala (not even that awesome scythe-looking axe), because of how horribly difficult it was for me to defeat it the first time.

gravios is honestly sort of gratifying once you make a good water set

the problem is that he's stupid frustrating if you dont, which you won't the first time fighting him

I think I would've found Gravios to be much more annoying if the Insect Glaive wasn't a thing. Being able to jump and strike whenever you want is something I will never take for granted in this franchise.

i hated the gravios because i was using dual blades and his ankles are fortresses

fighting him will be a lot better with aerial style

And I can't wait for the new Deviants. I wonder how are they gonna handle G-Rank for the older Deviants, though. Extra level quests?

After finishing the game, I started playing the Gathering Hall quests. I'm currently HR 5. I've heard Dalamadur is near-impossible to do solo, which worries me because I'm unable to connect my game systems online due to Internet shortcomings. The armor I have is Garuga S.with a current defense of 393 (I'm short of Hard Armor Spheres so I could only upgrade the helmet; as I also got several Heavy Spheres I could upgrade that part to up to G Rank levels). The weapon I have is Aksa Axe+ (1080). . What would be the primary elemental weakness for Dalamadur? What weapon(s) would give me the best chance to defeat it solo (if it's possible)? To clarify, I'm still far from that quest but I'd like to start preparing for that moment from now

Dragon is Dala's greatest weakness in regards to elements, IIRC

Noted. Right now I have Gore Magala's axe and another whose English name I'm unaware of. I haven't been able to upgrade the former because I need two Shagaru Magala horns, and even breaking its horns in the Heaven's Wheel quest I didn't get any so it's either a low-percent rate drop or it's a High- or G-Rank drop. Would Tyrannos be reliable for the battle?

Also, I'm starting to wish I hadn't wasted those Hard Armor Spheres onto that now-obsolete Cephalos armor. They're much rarer than I thought, to the point I have actually gotten more Heavy Armor Spheres (which are G Rank spheres, but are given in the later High-Rank caravan quest), and I still need them to complete the upgrade of Garuga S.

I believe Tyrannos could work. As long as you don't use IG (extract distribution among Dala's body is pretty awful, so DPS tends to get severely hampered), I think you can do it. Just pay attention to its sweeping beam of death, the meteors and to hit the damn thing mercilessly between those things.

One of the things that make me look forward to G Rank is the fight against Chaotic Gore Magala. I got to hear its impressive battle theme in Youtube and makes me want to give it a try.

Edit: Looks like Capcom released a new trailer during a stream or something. It shows more details on the new and returning monsters... and what's apparently the new final boss. Looks like some lost relative of Gogmazios looking for revenge. Equal Dragon Weapon or something related, perhaps?

Apparently, XX is adding a feature called transmogrification that allows your armor to have the appearance of another kind of armor. By using this, mixed sets won't make you look like a rainbow pimp anymore.
