That was a fun stage. Easy for the point in the game, but it was fun and it always amused me to just see all these different enemies crammed into a small space.

If we were to command a huge force of units, I'd want to see a way to order groups of them at once.

So, people. I was wondering if NISA should be added to the general Disgaea character page.

Logic being that she's been Chuckified in her home series^note She and the character based on Gust Corporation have been absent since the second game. While she was basically a bonus character in the first game, she had a major story role in the second game, but she was written out of the first's remake, and the second's remake swapped a newer character into her role in the story almost verbatim., but she's been making the rounds as a DLC character in Disgaea starting from 4. Unlike most cameo characters, though, she does not mention her home series in her character description in D2, merely saying she's an antropomorphized NIS. (That said, the description on the PSN store mentions it, but NIS had the series' license at that point.)

IMO, she should be added if she appears as DLC in Disgaea 5 while being absent from Hyperdimension Neptunia VII.

She can be added so long as her trope listing is only about her role in the Disgaea games, not those from Neptunia or wherever it is she's from.

Aw, so Not!Zetta really is not Zetta. And assuming that mounting ends up returning at some point, Usalia's going to be in a pretty awkward position.

Also, zombie maids and what I assume are flying goblin things. And surprisingly new idle animations for the human classes.

Wouldn't call it overweight as it's larger in general, but yes.

OK, now that I've seen the art, the new lead is really giving me a skimpier Valzy vibe.

He even has Valzy's tight leather pants.

The other two are cuties though.

A few more story tidbits.

Seems to be the anti-Makai Kingdom.

...Zetta will be the first post-game character I unlock. He'll wreck Void Dark's shit, he will.

I think we are going to ended up with more "strongest of all Overlords" than we do normal Overlords.

Not sure about Baal or Zenon's exact rank, but Zetta is the Strongest Overlord in All the Cosmos.

Also, he's not an emperor, or really evil.

x5: Given the newer info and that Kilia doesn't seem to be using a weapon at all, he seems to be multitasking an Adell-alike theme as well.

The noticeably grander scale does seem to explain the seemingly larger cast all of a sudden. Like GFP, though, the main threat seems to be kind of... bland, at least so far.

Zenon is the God of Overlords and Baal is just the Tyrant Overlord, but outside of titles, folks act like he's the strongest.

@Demonfly: At the very least, I'm hoping for Void Dark or whoever the final villain will be is an imposing one even if he ends up being a Generic Doomsday Villain. The fact that he has an army seems like a step in the right direction.

Satanael was a disappointment, but at least he wasn't the failure that was fake Overlord Zenon.

I never fought Fakeo, but wasn't he like super disappointing?

I dunno what to expect from this guy. The final bosses of 1 and 4 were legit hard, while 3 was weaksauce as all hell.

Yeah, kinda sad cuz Aurum was actually my favorite villain of the main Disgaea games. And fake Zenon was disappointment on every level. Worst final boss design. A very lackluster final battle. Aurum at least had some mooks by his side. Zenon was just his butt ugly final form and that's it. His final boss skills were lackluster. Really the hardest part was just getting to him since parks his ass on the other side of the field. Oh and from a story standpoint, it's bad enough that he's a Generic Doomsday Villain, but getting ass kicked twice before you actually fight him?

I'd say the problem with Aurum was that the changes to damage turned him into a joke. He actually had an interesting fight mechanic (i.e. being a barrier change boss).

Nemo had nasty attacks and an interesting idea, but his AI was too stupid to effectively utilize it.

Xenolith finally got it right, actually being smart enough to fully utilize his boss mechanic.

Zenon was a failure but on the bright side, one of the ideas in that fight ended up being used more effectively with Desco (IIRC one of the extra evilities came from Zenon).

Looking at the pics, seems the protagonist resembles an anti-Adell in terms of personality and elemental affinities. Geez, thats the 3rd consequtive protagonist weak against fire. Seems a fourth elemental attribute is in the affinities, most likely Star. The pink haired girl is a pistol user. Weapon affinities are posted alongside elemental affinities. The big red guy looks to be a spear user. The mage (female) and archer (female) seem to have new poses.

Edit: Have a theory about the new villain.

Void Dark is the entity that Valvatorez is refering to in the extended ending of Disgaea 4 (Vita). The one that's implied to be impersonating the God of that universe.

One thing I'm wondering is if Pleinair is from the Rabbit Underworld.

Something I'm hoping happens is that instead of a Baal fight, he realizes he's surrounded by overlords, talks for the first time since Disgaea 3, and runs far, far away.

The scans of Disgaea 5 look pretty cool. On the other hand, I imported Criminal Girls: INVITATION in June and I have been loving the game.
