Her supports are a lot better than how she is in the story, as is the case for pretty much every Fates character.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaePls reconnect Ryback's head from his body. D:
Mileena MadnessI've always found that, for playable characters in any game except maybe Echoes, the greatest parts of their characterization come from their supports with each other. The supports for Echoes never really struck a chord with me like the supports of Awakening and Fates, though even their characters' characterizations seemed more fleshed out in "village conversations" than in the actual main story.
Of all the Fire Emblem games I've played, I don't think I've ever really played a game where the characters were better in the main story than they were in the supports.
On another subject, I probably brought it up before, but I always wondered what the general reaction was when Marth and his army ran into Pyrathi and basically committed regicide (in self-defense, mind you). I still like to think that the general reaction was "Eh, it's Pyrathi, who cares?" I kind of hope Pyrathi will be a stage in Warriors so that we can actually see the ruins, though the chances of it actually appearing in Warriors is probably next to nil.

Camilla, sorry. That was an auto correct. I do agree the strongest characterization in So V is in the base conversations that only Alm or Celica are privy to.
Speaking of Echoes, I kind of want a crossover between Echoes and Fates if only to see what would happen if Anankos was the one whispering in Berkut's ears.
Anankos doesn't whisper though. He'd rupture Berkut's eardrums with his "I AM THE FORGOTTEN GOD" bullshit.
Only if you reconnect the controller.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I of course mean the bit where he preys upon your insecurity until he has enough control over you to throw you off the nearest cliff so he can use your corpse as his slave. Though I wonder...since Berkut rides a horse and we know Anankos has possessed horse-riders before, does the dragon make the horse throw itself to its death as well just so his new puppet can have a proper undead mount?
Also, now that I think about it, if you're looking for a group to take down an evil dragon, getting the heroes of Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates makes sense. Though since the Awakening heroes take down a country-sized abomination that's almost unkillable and the Fates heroes take down an insane god-dragon capable of feats beyond almost anything any dragon in the franchise has ever shown, the Shadow Dragon heroes beating up what is essentially a racist grandpa dragon seems a bit...underwhelming.

Gameplay of Hinoka, Takumi, and Camilla.
Hinoka might be my main.
As much as I dislike Camilla, her combos are pretty sick.
Takumi's look a little awkward, but that's expected of a bow.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Camilla looks amazing. Coolest character thus far. Takumi is great as well. Hinoka becomes a helicopter, and that's all I ask of her.

They're using the helicopter thing? Nice.
Correction on the voice actor strike: Nintendo isn't one of the companies targeted for the strike. Union members are still allowed to do voice work. And I think FE dubs are usually non-union so.... Warriors' voice acting is hot garbage for other reasons. lol
As for the gameplay vid, can they please shorten animation time of the special attacks so it won't take like 10 years to finish? Thanks

This might sound harsh, but I often have really mixed feelings on stuff like actors' strikes. Everyone deserves good working conditions, of course, but there's a part of me that wants to say something like "You know, some people are forced to mine until they drop by terrorists for no pay. Count your blessings and suck it up."
Yeah that's a terrible attitude to take. There are varying degrees of awful working conditions, just because it can be worse does not mean there are no problems that need change.

This song needs more love.Yeah, I admit it's a messed up attitude. Like I said it's not all of me that thinks this; there's just this little nagging voice in my head that always whispers "Appeal to Worse Problems" in my ear...
You know how your voice gets hoarse and your throat could sore from screaming?
Imagine screaming, grunting, yelping, etc for hours on end in which it can get so bad you could end up vomiting or coughing up blood? And of course possibly losing your voice which could take a long time to recover (in which you're not getting paid) or permanent.
It's that bad? Geez; point conceded.
Not sure if Laura, Paula, and Buttercup would come back to dub this even if there wasn't a strike.
Mileena MadnessWho's Buttercup?
I think Laura Bailey did provide lines for Lucina and Palla in Heroes (albeit she's uncredited), so I'm not sure if she's totally against coming back.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Elizabeth Daily.
A cruel, sick joke is still a joke, and sometimes all you can do is laugh.Made it to the part 3 map with the Crimean Knights.
The Kauku Caves map was a huge boon to my laguz as Lethe, Lyre, and Kyza all gained strike ranks and I took down Septimus by having Lyre kick him to death.
Before promotion, Rhys has hit almost all of his uninspiring caps, and Mist managed to do much the same.
Who are you using from the Knights? Apart from Astrid, I mean.
Song of the SirensIf you use stat boosting items in Echoes before promoting, will the stat bonus still apply afterwards or will the promotion gains override it?
I think the stat boosts from promotion treat the stats of the unit as they are, it doesn't matter if they gained stats through the foods or the springs. If the speed is >= what its base would be at promotion, then the stat won't get any gains.
Finished Part 3 of RD. I honestly did not see Zelgius being the Black Knight, though I can kinda see some similarities. Also the whole Yune and Micaiah thing threw me off. I figured the woman from the opening was Ashera, but her turning out to be the villain was a nice twist. It was also nice to have context for the cutscene with Ike and the stone soldiers, since I'd seen that before a while back
The last few chapters of part 3 weren't too bad, though I did spend nearly all of my BEXP to bring the units in the DB I was using up to level 10(or in Aran's case 8). Definitely helped out, since I don't think things would've been as smooth otherwise, though Zihark and Jill did almost die from being ganged up on by tigers. Ignoring Meg, Leo, and Fiona kind of turned them into baggage though. All unpromoted, all made of paper at this point in the game.
Also I can't believe IS found a way to make that bridge map more terrible with those impassable walls that take AGES to go away. Made worse by the fact that Sigrun and Tanith are just terrible, though Sigrun is a bit better after promotion. The Crimean Knights have also fallen behind in terms of level, in retrospect I probably should've taken Paragon from Geoffrey(who ended up becoming a level 2 Silver Knight) and given it to Marcia or Kieran. Danved/Devdan and Astrid feel basically unsalvagable, and Makalov is about as meh as ever.

I guess part of it is comparison.
Like, SOV's characters are all pretty subdued compared to the past two games, so none of them stand out as "extra-bland" except maybe Lukas* . In Fates, meanwhile, the relatively normal royal siblings exist in the same setting as folks like Arthur, Odin, Niles, Setsuna, Izana, and all those other flamboyant, gimmicky personalities, and as such can't help but come across as terribly boring in comparison.
Though I feel like even in a vacuum, the Fates royals just aren't as well-written as other "subdued" characters such as Awakening's main characters and most of SOV's entire cast. I think it's just a consequence of Fates' bad writing and uninspired translation of said writing.
