Fire Emblem

I have to say I've taken to Conquest quite well, though admittedly I'm on Normal. Is there a Difficulty Spike later on or something? Presently on Ch. 12.

So what are the recommended promotions for my gaggle of villagers?

I've seen it suggested that I make Gray a Merc, Faye a Cleric, Tobin an Archer, and Kliff a Mage, but I'm not sure I want to do exactly that...

I think Faye gets an exclusive spell if she goes the Cleric route that lets other characters move again, basically turning Faye into a spell-casting Dancer.

Having two Clerics on Alm's route is also exceptionally helpful. If you don't make Faye a Cleric, you're stuck with Slique as your only healer until endgame.

Faye also gets Rescue and I think Physic.

Neat, I'll try that then. I think I might wait until they're level 10 to promote, though. I wanna squeeze as many levels out of them as possible. They're keeping up just fine so far, and this is only Normal difficulty anyway.

Though if we ever get an infinite supply of Villager Forks, maybe none of that will be an issue.

So Faye should be a cleric, Kliff should be a mage. What about the other two? I just reached the statue.

Oh look, now Ryoma's blackmailing me for medicine for my little(?) healer girl.

Garon would approve. Maybe he should've "adopted" Ryoma instead.

Decided on my pairings, because you kinda have to do that ahead of time on CQ since there's no grinding:

• Corrin and Camilla, because and she already wants me in the hot springs with her at B, whoa mama.
• Odin and Felicia, whose C support triggered accidentally while I was trying to keep Felicia away from Corrin and I figured why not, also good mage genes.
• Xander and Charlotte since I've heard Siegbert comes out really good.
• Leo and Selena because it sounds funny.
• Benny and Beruka because Stone Wall genetics.
• Laslow and Peri since I hear their supports are good.
• Effie and Arthur who I already have at A and complement each other nicely on the battlefield besides.
• Niles and Mozu because Torture Technician plus cute farmgirl equals hilarious.
• Azura and Kaze because I did Azura/Silas last route and this is kinda the counterpart.
• Silas and Elise because they're close-ish in age and are both obsessed with Corrin (wear Corrin masks in bed, perhaps).
• Nyx and Keaton because they're just kinda there.
• Jakob unattached. No skin off my nose, but why can't he marry Flora?

Azura x Kaze was the first Azura pairing I ever did. Having Lethality on Azura is pretty fun.

Flora and Reina are the two Corrinsexuals who confuse me. Like, all of the others I get because there would either be an even bigger gender imbalance or a faction imbalance on Revelation but if those two were added to the Support pool, it would fix the already present imbalance.

So there's a line in Shadows of Valentia where Alm wonders if there's a comic hidden in a bookshelf. With the knowledge that comics exist in at least one world of Fire Emblem, I have to ask this: do you think the events of each games get immortalized as comics that future generations read?

Are the Jugdral stories advertised as a sizzling tale of romance and betrayal? Do readers rage at how Hector was written as such a badass in the Blazing Sword comics then killed off in Binding Blade? Are there public gatherings where readers argue with each other over whether the comic artist should've stuck with Ike as a protagonist or if Micaiah was a perfectly fine new POV character?

The fact that Valentia has comics and Alm reads them is probably my favorite irrelevant thing from Echoes.

For not doing Selena x Keaton I deem you a mistake and a failure.

x4 The events of the Jugdral games were turned into novels in-universe by the time Awakening rolled around.

So what continent is Awakening taking place on again; Archanea or Valentia?

Both.

Not kidding, by the way. You start off in Archanea but eventually head to Valentia.

I personally like to HC that Jugdral is X distance to the north from Archanea/Ylisse and Valentia/Valm.

Yeah- The continent Ylisse is on is Archanea, and Valm is Valentia.

The level with the pots is pretty hard. Most recent time I failed because I couldn't defeat Saizo and Kagero fast enough and my weaker guys got swarmed by Asshole Reinforcements.

Is it better to use the Dragon Vein to break all the pots, or leave them?

You know, I found a post in reddit about the name switcheroo with Leo from Fates and Leon from Gaiden. That reminds me, in FE 4, there was a Macbeth in Chapter 2 which was reused in Fates (English called him Iago), there's Harold in Chapter 6 which is reused in Fates (called Arthur, which is also another name used). And there's Kamui, one in Gaiden, the other in Fates whose name is Corrin in the English version.

Are there any other name reused.

Faye's Japanese name is Effie.

Also Robin was Tobin's original name, until the English version used that for the localized Reflet.
