OK, done. On to Revelations!
...I know that the Branch of Fate option exists, but I like playing through the prologue so I can focus experience on the characters I know I'll keep. Although in this case, that'd be all of them, so maybe there wasn't any point in doing that this time.
I'm looked at the transcript on Chapter 5 and 6, and it never states that he was actively hunting for Grimleal. He just went on a crusade against Plegia. Where are you getting it from? Are you inferring? Implying? Am I looking at things wrong? Tell me.

They heavily terms like "crusade"(war against a religion), and the Japanese text is even more clear that it was against Grima worship.

I admit, my most recent playthroughs of Fates always had me starting from "Branch of Fate," though mostly because the first time I played Fates, I got a tad frustrated with dealing with Omozu and the entirety of Chapter 5. I'll probably play through the first five chapters again the next time I start a new campaign.
"Crusade" can also be defined as: "any vigorous, aggressive movement for the defense or advancement of an idea, cause, etc." It doesn't necessarily have to refer to a holy war.

Japanese script which directly says "holy war" and further terms make it clear it was a religious war against Grima worship. The terms in the english version also imply it.
I think the writer of that line was going for something like the Loptyrian oppression. Problem is the rest of the game shows the Grimleal really are entirely evil.

Can you provide a source for that?
Oh God! Natural light!@Monsund We already had the same discussion before, you don't have to bring it up again.

One term used is "聖戦", holy war.
RE: Mario Vs Sonic
Fair enough, my point wasn't about the war, but the ingame conflict with the Grimleal was clear black and white. There's zero questioning that the Grimleal are evil.
While the basic ingame conflict of Nohr vs Hoshido was very black and white, we did get people like Xander, at least, genuinely loyal to Nohr.

Ch. 11 + Para 2
Silas and Hana hooked up. They mincemeated the Wyvern Riders in Ch.11. Hinoka was strong enough to ORKO Pegasus Knights. Reina and Pineapple worked out nicely.
Para 2 was pretty tough for a non-promoted team (well there was Reina but the enemies' promoted units outclassed her). Good thing I bought Sure Shot for Pineapple so he could take down Swordmasters. Alexa and Pineapple walked out of this ordeal as lv.18 and lv.16 badasses and ready to promote.
Hey, it's the bandit twin, but where's the rest of your gang?

Where there's life, there's hope.
I really like that the bandit twins finally achieved playable.
Now if only they had an innate support bonus like in Blazing Sword.

I was wondering, do you have any personal MVP choices?
I just realized something - in Conquest, Corrin never found out that Azura's song can potentially kill her, did they? I can't remember, since I had that long gap in the middle of my playthrough, but it would explain why they didn't know what was up when she disappeared at the end.
Anyway, I'm on chapter 9 of Revelations. Going to do Mozu's paralogue and probably a few skirmishes before actually starting it, though. Nice to have that option again!
I don't think she mentioned it to them.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeWhich sucks for whoever you marry her to; she disappears, and her lover never finds out why she left or where she went.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!For the record, you're very much expected to play in Birthright -> Conquest.-> Revelation order, with regards to the overarching concepts introduced in each.
A lot of important stuff is brought up in Birthright and Conquest seems to assume you know a lot of important things from there.

I sure said that!Azura's song is one of few plot points written with Conquest->Birthright in mind instead of the reverse. Similar to the Bottomless canyon and Garon's condition in Birthright you're meant to get some hints that something is up but not learn the full truth until you play the other route.
I did play Birthright first. But yeah, it does seem like that's the intended order.
Birthrights Lunatic!
Ch.12 - Ch.14 + Para 3,4,7
Alexa and Takumi promoted at lv.20. Hopefully Takumi picks up speed this time.
Reina would be pretty great if she didn't act like an XCOM.
Ch.12 the easy way: Alexa jumped on Reina, Kaze/Saizo jumped on Hinoka. Cross the water and switched to Alexa first, killed both Archer and Fighter in the same turn. Flew Alexa to the stadium and Kaze/Saizo near the chest and baited the Hammer guy with Takumi. Finished all 3 objectives at the same turn. Victory.
Camilla was easier to kill with a promoted Alexa. You don't really need Dragon Fang but thanks for showing off.
The Paralogues are harder than the main game at this point, probably because I played them early and got a crap ton of EXP. That said, Ryoma pretty much trivialized the second half of Ch.14 and Scarlet smashed brains like there's no tomorrow, and that's before I bought them skills.

Where there's life, there's hope.Going through Fire Emblem: Awakening again, I am very glad to once again have a whole bunch of legendary weapons to use (especially since I have the Infinite Regalia DLC). Makes throwing barbecue parties with Valflame, having blonde-haired heroes wielding Mercurius going after Marth, and letting Priam reenact the duel between Ike and the Black Knight all the more easier.
Revelation Chapter 13: A Lost Peace''
This map had an interesting mechanic with its picking up and moving obstacles. I wish I'd known about it beforehand so I could clear up some inventory space on my units, though. That said, I did have some units with a space to carry them, as well as having Kaden and Keaton join the party in the opening cutscene. I started the mission by using an obstacle to create a chokepoint to fend off the early enemies from. After they were dealt with, I split my group into two groups to go up the sides. When the squad on the west side of the map reached Peri and Laslow, I drew them out myself, then on my next turn had Keaton pair up with Beruka to fly him over and take Peri out. Keaton worked similarly well on Xander. The Hoshidan side of the map was a bit more of a challenge, since there were no beasts for Kaden's Beastbane ability to exploit. Ryoma was tougher to take down with all that dodging. In hindsight, I probably could've used the Dragon Vein to bypass him entirely, but I also wanted to be able to block off the incoming reinforcements. From there it was a simple matter to take out the main boss and his group. And in the process of all of this, Sakura reached Lv. 20. After the mission was over, I promoted her to Priestess.

The Living Guildpact rules that coffee is an acceptable substitution for rest as specified in subsection … whatever. In general high-man runs, Wyvern Panne is probably the big one who, for similar investment, can almost (but not really, because it's Robin) keep up with Robin.

Panne is kinda of the Disc-One Nuke, I'd argue she's more of a Crutch Character then Frederick, as he has some of the best reclasses/caps.
What class is Lissa being used most as?
I don't really mind Awakening's Black-and-White Morality because the game recognizes that it's Black-and-White Morality. The villains are all simple and shallow, but that's fine because the plot never asks for them to be more than simple and shallow. Fates present Hoshido vs. Nohr as a Sadistic Choice and the Nohrian siblings as good but misguided, which should mean that it'll have more complex gray morality. Instead, it sucker punches you with morality just as obvious and simple as Awakening's.
The conflict of Awakening is never "Should I fight against the Grimleal?" so I don't knock it for not giving you a reason to not want to fight the Grimleal. Whether to fight Nohr is Fates' main conflict, so the cartoony biased way it's presented is much more of a flaw.
