Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.
Generally, expect the following from this thread:
- People announcing their departure or return.
- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
- Inquiries about an absent troper.
- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

...This post has really been a long time in coming.
I joined the site back in November 2013, by my estimate. I quickly jumped into Yack Fest, and made friends.
Bacon maniac 5000 even gave my my first avatar, that being Faust, appropriately enough. I stuck around the Hangout Thread for a long while, meeting Terlwyth and Demetrios (Still gotta read those books, man. I'll get to it sooner or later!), Egregious One (If anyone knows where that wonderful son of a bitch went, tell me, I miss him!) and a few others.
Everything was fine and dandy, especially after discovering Fetishes The Nunnery, and having an outlet for those sorts of things.
Looking back, the nuking of Le Nunnery was the first in a long line of dominoes. I get why it was gone, but I think I talked to a lot of people there who I really enjoyed talking to. I can't remember who all that was, but I did enjoy my time there.
Fast forward to last summer. I had a full time job, but enough time in the day to still be active. I joined We Have All Been Genderflipped and We Are Our Avatars (Hell, I'm finishing up a plot as GM for that right now!) and that was cool, even as it took my time away from the noncommittal threads. Special shout out to Brahian 1, who is and will ever be my canon waifu. the Braust ship sails strong! Even so, several people dropped out.
Personally, I like visiting people instead of having guests over, IRL. I like to ring the doorbell, but lately, it feels like I'm dusting off the welcome mat these days.
To all the new guys around here, I'm handing off my set of keys. This is your site now, not mine.
I'll stick around a little bit every once in a while, but I have a few obligations, really. You'll still be able to reach me through PM's and to all the people I know, if anyone wants to find me, link them to me. I will hopefully actually join the Synchtube coven every once in a while, and keep up on an RP or two, but my time has come.
On a side note, if you ever run into anyone else on the 'net who has a username that's (adjective) Faust, it's probably me. I have no problem talking with the folks who hang out here, but the site itself is alien to me now.
