There’s plenty of spelling errors in terms of translation

Main story so far is about you being recruited by a mysterious figure that looks like an old man with a monocle and top hat and his hand is Einherjar. You are to be part of his organization called the Liberators who will fight against the Acolytes, nefarious followers of an unknown deity called Vanitas. No one really understands what Vanitas is or if it means harm but the Acolytes do, as they are attacking people so far with demons in Akihabara. You will become a Devil Downloader or Dx 2 who will fight to uncover the mystery behind Vanitas

It’s very Soul Hackers feel and you’re apparently supposed to be disaffected youth with a deliberative mention of Japan’s generational crisis. Character designs are on point and it’s got a robust OST. Definitely well produced imo and I’m having a lot of fun so far.

Gacha summons but there are the usual fusion and negotiation mechanics so I haven’t spent anything so far. They are definitely pushing an online community through the app with chats, friend assists, and messages you can leave around demons

SMT is all about choices. Law vs Chaos. Murdering all your friends vs murdering half your friends. Banging the tiny demon chick vs banging the two stylish guys.

So I noticed something interesting when I was looking at the Japanese version of Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse, specifically the part where Krishna says "Humans die and reincarnate over and over in this world" right before he turns into Vishnu-Flynn.

The Japanese version of the scene has him with his default expression, so he's smiling as he says it. The English version, however, has him making a serious expression. Feels like kind of an odd thing to change.

Oh yeah demon rating comments are pure gold

I'm just gonna say, Hanuman is a big turd (hunted Black Rider in order to get both the Judgement Scales necessary for an upcoming set of armor, and saw way too many of the damn monkeys with their ludicrous physical attack power in the process).

Tiamat was a little frustrating in the opening stages since it seems like her AI's programmed to use Pure Blue a lot towards the start but once you manage to get like a third of her HP off her usage of it drops a ton. I didn't have any good demons with Dekaja handy either to counter her Luster Candy use, and Promotion wasn't proccing as often as I'd've liked either.

Also, I've noticed that the word "jihad" appears to have been completely scrubbed from the game. I think everyone knows by now that Jihad's been renamed to Antitchton, but the Mortal Jihad skill is now called Mortal Strike. I wonder if the Japanese version of Redux did that too with Mortal Jihad/Strike or if that was just on the localization since it was left alone in the IV duology.

Advice for Cleopatra?

Oh geez, it's been such a long time since I fought her. I remember stocking up on lots of MP-restoring items and using Mephisto.

I probably just don't have enough MP restoratives. So weird Chakra Pots were nerfed in this one.

Oh geez, I won that battle by the barest skin of my teeth. The final blow was the lone Nanashi, HP in the red, just chucking a Mudo Stone at her.

Anyone know how much health she has? I've never been able to even get her to the red.

Izanami has Diarahan, but Cleopatra has the ability to charm you and make you Diarahan her.
