Soul Eater Not episode 10:
This stuff is now beyond the part that I read up to (maybe there have been more chapters since then?) so it's interesting to watch this not knowing what will happen next. Apparently Shaula killed Sid via Meme, and while we know he'll be zombie-fied after this it was still a shock. I think that's a nice way of using a known future event whose detail were left unclear. Bravo. Meme being a sleeper agent isn't unexpected but I have to admit I didn't really suspect her until they made it really obvious last episode.

SEN 10 was intense. Yeah now the anime started running ahead of the manga chapters. I liked watching the anime without knowing what's gonna happen. I guess Ohkubo's stalling payed off.
Anyway, in the preview, are Maka and Black*Star getting ready for a round in the battle tournament? It looks that way to me.
For the first time, I felt like I was really watching a lost Soul Eater episode!
And for those saying Sid's death wasn't how it was described in the first manga, look again. It's not in NYC, but in the "American District" of Death City, where Sid is dead beside a miniature imitation of the Statue of Liberty!! Wow! Genius! I don't recall the script ever making that very clear, though.

Well hot damn, Meme, Anya, and Tsugumi had a hand in turning Sid into a zombie!
Also, Meme was a puppet of Shaula all along!
Also, RIP Pochi.
In the end, Tsugumi could not choose a partner. And so, they both left her. Just..not the expected way... Don't mind me, my madness is flowing out a little. Hahahaha...
DRAMA
Remember when Sid's death was an offhand joke?
Good times.
Though I guess they finally came across the beginning of Soul Eater. I wonder how long the time was between the first three stories and Sid's death with that battle tournament making me confused when was when.
Episode 10: in which everything gets worse (for Tsugumi, NOT! the viewer).
Definitely NOT! a slice-of-life comedy.
I almost cried for Tsugumi-chan. Bad memories.
I am convinced that the whole reason Shaula does all these horrible things is because she has insomnia, which has made her very agitated and misanthropic.
I hope Meme can be cured!
I want an episode to take place at Anya's palace!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.I wannur see Anya's palace too! ....but then it will feel even less like Soul Eater.
I hope they get a happy ending somehow.
Question, is Soul Eater NOT! all School Girl Relationship teasing or is their actual Les Yay going on?

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.weeeell,Meme gets rather close to her.
Secret SignatureIt's presented mostly as a touchy-feely friendship. Lesbian subtext is just subtext.
The exception is Jacqueline, who is probably gay for Kim (dreaming about kissing her, etc).
D-does that mean Oxford did NTR?
I'd point out that Jacqueline's attitude to Kim seems to have shifted to the Soul Eater-standard "fiercely loyal partner" thing by the time of the main story.
I have a message from another time...Jaqueline is just in such a deep closet, it might as well be a Platonic Cave . Get it!? B-b-because "platonic" means "like as friends" and a Platonic Cave is, well, it's explained in the trope page.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.x5 Considering the way the original series handled romance(which I liked, actually)....I'd say it's probably Les Yay that will never go anywhere.

BTW, has the manga covered this yet or is it now going off production notes? I take it this is a one cour show.
Shuala's trying but she's got nothing on Medusa's evil faces (Also are they sisters too?).

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.
They already have the ending — see several pages back where someone even pulled up the interview that Ookubo's delaying actions were because he wanted to end the manga at the same time as the anime.
Medusa, Arachne, and Shaula are the three Gorgon sisters. So yes. Medusa is the middle sister here.
Considering her total lack of impact on the main story, I don't put very good odds on Shaula surviving NOT's story.
I have a message from another time...Well there's just two episodes to wrap everything up, right?
Overall I'd say this is a pretty... weird extension to the Soul Eater franchise. Like it being dramatic is kinda cool now, but it doesn't exactly jive with with how So L everything has been so far.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.It feels like a fan fic to me. (Yes, I know it isn't). If you didn't know who wrote it, you could totally convince someone of that however.
So far there's been a mind-controlling scorpion witch operating in the foreground, indirectly attacking the main trio and directly controlling and almost killing Eternal Feather. I'm not surprised. It has So L elements and slower pacing, but it's also an action fantasy series like Soul Eater, just toned down and with a simpler, more compact plot. And a lot more moe. Like, a lot.
I guess when you're a Shibusen student, you have to expect that level of excitement, even if you're supposed to be a non-combatant.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Which school has it worst, DWMA or Hogwarts?
Well, Hogwarts was only a war zone the one time.
Then again, remarkably fewer actual deaths seem to occur on DWMA grounds.
Then again, a much smaller percentage of Hogwarts students seem to be expected to go into combat service.
I have a message from another time...Do we know the percentage of EAT to NOT students though?
Also, what exactly is a NOT Weapon Meister supposed to do?
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.
B-but she is a cat with boobs!
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.
