Shirou was about to respond to the others' comments, but Fate's quiet voice and subdued expression gave him pause. He walked over to her, looking somewhat worried. "You okay, Fate? Sorry...Guess I should've left out some of the details, huh?"
He hoped he hadn't disturbed her too much, though considering her usual durability when it came to matters of war and death, he had a feeling that wasn't it. "What wrong, Fate?"

Fate didn't respond to Shirou's initial call to her. When he called out again, she suddenly perked up, turning back to the trace-user. "......It's nothing," she replied, taking a sip of water from a nearby glass Sayd had provided. "I guess...... I should be grateful that something like that didn't happen in Subaru and my home universe, huh?" She was trying to brush off the topic with a joking tone of sorts, but thanks to her current deflated mood, it came out half-hearted.
Shirou looked stern, not willing to relent. "Fate, come on. I know that's not all this is." Still looking concerned at the girl's obviously-troubled mood, Shirou sat down at the counter next to her. He looked her straight in the eye. "Fate, really, what's wrong? Whatever it is, you can tell me. Remember what Subaru and I asked you, yesterday?" he reddened for a brief moment, somewhat embarrassed by his over-the-top suggestion of adoption. "We're...We're sort of like family, all of us, you know? We have to be, or we'll never get out of this place."
He smiled, still concerned, but not sure where else to take that awkwardly pieced-together train of thought. "Please..." he added, hoping he could get to the bottom of this.
"I am glad that creep is dead, though." Maria said, dead serious. "A creep like that in the Church on my world would be a boon for Dracula."
"He reminded me too much of..." Maria shuddered at the thought of the Dark Priest Shaft.

Wizard Needs Food BadlySubaru sat, silent, as Shirou told his tale. She reached out and put one hand on his knee, hoping to comfort him. She shivvered slightly at the thought of being in the preist's clutches.
"I knew he was a villian." she said softly. "My Officer's insticts were screaming for me to clap him in a bind..."
She too looked worried about fate's troubled expression. She simply gave the girl a reaasuring smile, nodding encouragingly.

Paul went to the direction of the kitchen, getting water for himself as he bad already eaten a while ago.
Maybe I'll sleep later too...

"It's...... a minor thing, really," Fate replied, now embarrassed by how much attention Shirou was putting on her. "Hearing your story...... it made what I went through sound like child's play. Half your city burned down in a fire? Confronting a man who turns out to be so... twisted? One probably wouldn't be surprised if you were in a worse state than me or Crona......"

Shirou sighed, admittedly glad that's all it was. "Fate...To be honest, I can't really remember much about the fire. My father was kind, and I looked up to him. Yeah, he died a few years later, but those few years were great. He took me in when I didn't have anything, he taught me magic, and he had friends who I still talk to. Kotomine was a horrible bastard, but at least I had a family."
He looked straight at Fate. "If I seem alright to you, then it's probably because my troubles were...distant. I don't know what your mother did to you, Fate, but if that vision was anything to go by..." Shirou gave her a reassuring smile. "At the risk of sounding like Crona, I don't think I'd have been able to deal with having a mother like that. The fact that you could...that takes strength, Fate. If there's anyone else who has that kind of strength, I haven't met them."
He placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know you don't think so, but I mean it, Fate. Don't worry about things like that, okay? We've all got each other for support, right?"

Subaru nodded in agreement. "At your age I was a real wuss." She said. "I would never have gotten through what you have. Like I said the other day, you're amazing, Fate. You souldn't talk yourself down like that."
She smiled over the table at the little girl, meaning every word.
Paul stifled a yawn after he drank his glass of water, feeling tired.
Fate looked at both Shirou and Subaru, silent for a moment, before sighing with a faint smile on her lips. "It wasn't until I met Nanoha that I really got that 'strength' you're talking about, you know. If not for her...... I'd probably be nonexistent now, vaporized by whatever spell Mother would have used to... to get rid of me once my task was done."
The young mage's smile grew a little wider, a little stronger. "But...... thank you anyway, for supporting me. For listening to me. It means a lot." She hopped off the stool she was on and wrapped her arms around both of them, eyes closed serenely, relishing the moment.
Subaru quickly put her plate down and hugged Fate back. She rembered back to the last time she'd done this - Fate's bedside in the highchool infirmary - and was glad this was a happier occasion.
"You're welcome, fate." she said, putting her hand on Fate's head, fondly rubbing her hair. "I mean, what else are families for?"
Paul eyed Fate and watched her nearby, grinning.
Looks like she has a long way to go.
Shirou returned Fate's embrace, smiling as Subaru did the same. "She's right, Fate. No matter where or when we're from, we're family. Even if Nanoha and all your other friends are worlds away right now, just remember: While you're here, you've still got a family. As long as we're around, you're never alone, Fate."
In that moment, smiling along with his family, Shirou couldn't help but feel that things would turn out for the best. He knew escaping the City would be tough, but somehow, he knew everything was going to turn out okay.

Fate giggled a little as Subaru ruffled her blonde hair. She didn't say anything more, but when she looked up at Subaru and Shirou, her now-warm smile said it all.
Zim tapped on the R Per's shoulder. "Tell me Alex, or whatever you call yourself, what is the exact nature of this reality in you world?"
"It's a sort of RPG type thing on the interne-"
At which point Alex and his possessions disappeared in a puff of bad ideas and Crona-lechery, as if a great higher power just realized how much this was sucking, leaving nothing behind except his vague and incredibly unhelpful warning that had somehow completely ignored Soul Edge!Asuka, the Facility, Aki, and several other bad things that lay in the future.
What a chucklefuck. Who's idea was it to let him in, anyway?

"What the hell was that?" asked Servo as he watched Alex disappear.
Formerly known as Crow T. Robot.Bran had been caught up in listening to the others talking about what they'd been through.
It seems like there's a lot of evil in the multiverse. But... Bran looked over the others, As long as there are people like them, things might be okay.
Bran opened his door the rest of the way. "I'll try to keep this open as long as I can. I'll be back soon..."
Bran walked through the door, keeping a grip on it to hold it open while he waited for Overlord and anyone else to join him. While he was standing inside, he looked around and saw that the entrance area looked like some sort of building...
It's a plot! ...Quite a well written one too.The Overlord followed Bran through the door. "Good luck master." Gnarl called to the Overlord. "Now lets watch Bran's mindscape" Gnarl said reaching for the remote.

All of a sudden the accumulated force of the clash knocked the two teens back with great force, both crashing into trees on the opposite sides of the meadows. Grimacing, Harima got up and saw to his dismay that Karasuma had on his side 5000 Chinese terra cotta soldiers. "When the hell did you draw that?!"
"While we were having that overly long bladelock of course. You didn't think I was just doing that the whole time did you?" Karasuma himself was decked out in ornate Chinese armor, complete with the pheasant feathers on his ornate helm.
"Well I have a surprise for you! I too have created an army!" Harima gestured behind him to reveal 2000 velociraptors... wearing togas. "The hell?! Where did the togas come from?!" Looking around, he found that the ink used to make the raptors was inked on all the battle plans Pyrrhus had drawn. Apparently the influence of the Greek made his dinosaurs gain some unwanted characteristics. What's more, the dinosaurs looked like they were wielding Greek infantry weapons. "... Alright Pyrrhus! Since you messed up my dinosaurs, you lead them as their general. Do whatever he tells you, Velociraptors!" The dinosaurs all nodded in assent.
"THIS. IS. HARIMA!!" With a battlecry, Harima materialized a giraffe and rode it into battle against the advancing terra cotta soldiers, using his pen as a spear.

I shall smite evil with imagination!Two-Bit looked at the scene that was before him, with Fate, Subaru, and Shirou all together in embrace. "And to think, it went from a nurses office, all the way to this!" He smiled as he downed the last of his glass and put it down. "And yet... they look so happy being together... it makes me feel so... lonesome... inside." He turned and took a looked at Maria for a moment, then heard Bran opening his door. He got up, and began walking towards it.
"It's about time I did something of importance around here...!" he said as he got up.
Pokedy Poke-poke"I'll sit this one out." Jack said loudly. "These thankless good deeds are beginning to make me feel ....less evil." He said with a cringe. "I've been around you happy do-gooders for far too long." he muttered.
my RP site : http://yourinteractivestory.proboards.com/index.cgiThe door to the bedroom opened up as Crona shuffled out, rubbing the sand out of one of his/her eyes. Crona was back in his/her black dress-like outfit and his/her hair was a bit disheveled. Crona looked around at everyone and asked "Was there something I missed?"
Paul exited the toilet, wearing the said white shirt and green shorts.
