Iggy's eyes are the exact same color as his namesake.

Huh. I didn't know about the Hall And Oates origin for Hol Horse. I still thought it was a Full Force reference.

The Full Force reference makes more sense for me.

Anyone notice how the Japanese website for the Part 4 anime also uses the localization name-changes like Worse Company and Reverb?

Is there like a difference between saying Echoes and writing out Reverb?

another Jojo Friday, another new episode. i'm gonna try my hand at a live reaction this time, so here we go.

• 0:04 ooh, Morioh City Radio is back. i thought that would just be a one-off thing for the first episode.
• 0:27 one of the replies is from a "RIP Big Bro." i wonder who sent that one in?
• 1:02 geez, having the thing move before keeling over makes the incident more morbid than it already was.
• 2:11 oh, so this dude's only slightly taller than Koichi from the start. i was wondering how they'd handle that.
• 3:32 still haven't added it yet, huh? maybe next episode.
• 8:26 i don't remember there being that much graffiti on the street in the manga, but i like it. it's a nice touch.
• 10:55 Police, huh? seems that one's safe from the copyright ninjas.

• 12:21 Kobayashi is a top-tier scumbag, isn't he?
• 13:03 this is one of the craziest-looking shots i've seen so far.
  • if i remember correctly, a restaurant called Johnny's is where Araki got the name for Jonathan Joestar.
• 13:28 the logo even has a star in the apostrophe.
• 14:49 i repeat: top. tier. scumbag.
• 14:56 oh snap, Koichi just went SSJ 1.
• 15:23 his music sounds hype as heck.
• 17:44 the "Boom" sounds a lot like the sound of Star Platinum beating on someone.
• 21:50 dang, Koichi. you can be downright scary when you want.
• 23:40 looks like Hazamada's Stand got name-switched from "Surface" to "Show-Off."

Sounds like Police if I'm reading right. They would be an ironic change, given the guy's low level gangster iirc.

@sgamer,rikalous: Kobayashi's Stand name in the anime is still listed as "The Lock." as far as i know, there's no change there. i was referring to the name of Koichi's dog.

Ah, okay. It's been a while and I won't be able to watch for until the evening. I remember the Lock going after Koichi and his mother, but forgot there was a dog.

Copyright is wierd man, don't bother much with it. Getting ignored the first time doesn't guarantee them leaving you alone.

I absolutely love it to bits visually, and it really made me appreciate Koichi's first Stand fight even more. Personal favorite shot of the whole episode, though.◊

yup, that was the shot i brought up in 13:03. it's very Star Trek-esque. well, to me at least.

Holy shit that episode was awesome. Koichi's a badass. Love his theme song.

Yikes, Kouichi didn't only look badass, he sounded pretty badass too. That joke threat at the end...

Echoes effect could have been rendered better though. The sounds didn't really sound... unbearable. Though admittedly it's pretty hard to pull off in anime...
