Plus, there is Seimen Kongou, which is very clearly visually inspired by Star Platinum.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!When I started my playthrough of Persona 1, I nicknamed the main character Jotaro. Imagine my surprise when his initial Persona was Seimen Kongou.
Also, I have finally finished Stone Ocean.
... man, I think I need to take a break from Jojo for a while...

Well done, Eva. Stone Ocean is difficult to read through at times. However, you must forge onward, towards Steel Ball Run! Go there, and bask in the awesomeness.
Stone Ocean is alright because it has Bohemian Rhapsody which is just braindead fun. Then Heavy Weather happens and ugh
Re: Dangan Ronpa: The Pompadour is a common hairstyle, but when the character with one leads a biker gang called Crazy Diamond, it becomes somewhat harder to call that a coincidence.
I very nearly stalled hard a bit before Bohemian Rhapsody, but was revitalized by Mazinger Z's, Gigantor's, and Astro Boy's cameo, as well as the news reports of Raoh killing a shitload of assorted heroes in Shinjuku before Kenshiro was able to kill him. Damn, what I wouldn't give to have seen that!!
Anyway, I managed to pick up a bit more steam through Heavy Weather, but by the time Stairway to Heaven came, I was on the verge of slogging again, but I was like, "No, dammit, this is the LAST. DAMN. VOLUME. I WILL FINISH READING IT." And so I did.
<sigh>
I really do have every intent on hitting up Steel Ball Run, but I seriously need a change of pace for a while. The Big O manga is calling my name, methinks...
Made in Heaven is the hypest shit tho.
Speaking honestly, as far as Final Bosses in this franchise go, I think Pucci was actually my least favorite up to this point.
How so? He's not among the best, but I think his general backstory was well done. I liked how everything was tied together with 'gravity', as well.
Pucci's my favorite nemesis, personally. He's more human than Diavolo, and he has to overcome (some of) his own weaknesses, and because of him, part VI was essentially a game of wits.
I dunno why, really. I can't explain it. Although in hindsight, I wasn't really able to get into Stone Ocean the same way I could immerse myself in the previous arcs. This whole time, I've just felt kind of... disconnected, maybe? Like, I never really caught myself going "OH SHIT!" when Pucci got a leg up the way I did when Kars became the Ultimate Life Form, or when Killer Queen became more powerful and gained Bites The Dust.

Puicci was one of the only villains in Part 6 I liked, to me the villain line-up wasn't all that great.
And Jojo shout outs are all over in Capcom games.
... hrm... given that Pucci pretty much worships the guy, does DIO effectively count as a God of Evil on some level or another?
Yep, those are too many references to count. Jojo's influences are inestimable.
We talking Jojo references in Castlevania without mentioning the boss fight against Dio Brando?
I am seriously freaking out about Yu-Gi-Oh GX's The World card. I never noticed that before.

The very first thing that happens in Dangan Ronpa is the protagonist's introduction, where Naegi says he "doesn't have a Stand". Other references that weren't mentioned in thread already are Monokuma's ORAORA on Chapter 2-5 and Hanamura talking about the taste of a liar.
Also Junko screaming "Muda muda muda!" while posing during her battle.
That is because Dio is one Junko's personalities.

Honestly the over abundance of Jojo shout outs in anime has made it almost cliche' at this point. It's a joke that's been told too many times.
Or rather, the fact it's usually done so clumsily.
Its usually done just for its own sake and just feels terrible as a result.
In Heroes Hiro says Muda Muda Muda at some point.
