↑Oh, I didn't notice that one, my brain seems to have read that as an If You Know What I Mean and filled the blanks for me... well... um...
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Right, I added in a Hand Wave for the Magneton weight issue and changed the sunspot bit.
Edit: and now some typos are fixed. Thanks, Pykrete.

There is no such thing as too little information. Out goal is Adaptation Expansion, the entries should be the opposite of consise. Draw accurate diagrams of Nido anatomy, the specific chemical structure of their venom, and what they like to eat every tuesday if you have to.
My only concern is that I'm not as dedicated as you into putting detail into my entries.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!It's exactly as Neo Crimson said—more is better, although if you feel the need to do it in Rolling Updates that's fine.
Also, does anyone have any feedback at all for my Rhyhorn entry?
The Danse Macabre CodexIt's pretty good, and I would never have thought about trainers lunting their Rhydon's horns to use in tournaments, though that would explain why Horn Drill merely KO's instead of turning somethings innards into chunky salsa. Perhaps for Rhyhorn mating habits you could base them on rhinos.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.'Thagomizer' is a fantastic word and I thank you for introducing it to me.
Also, I'm not sure if I like Rhyhorn's habitat section. I can't quite reconcile what you wrote there with the way they shown up so often in places like Victory Road.
Pretty good in general, though.
I made some edits to my page for the Starly line.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite. For the Rhyhorn entry you should mention that before conventional drilling machines were invented, trained Rhydon were used to bore through bedrock in construction and mining operations.
As for habitat I think its reasonable to say that Rhyhorn live in grasslands and mountainous areas. But Rhydon primarily live in caves and other subterranean areas. Rhyhorn close to evolution migrate to these caves and switch their diet from vegetation to subterranean fungus and rock.
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!I love the mention of therapsids in the Rhyhorn entry. Not-quite-mammals, cool.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.Updated. We now have 63 entries and 2 templates.
So does anyone particularly desire to write a blurb for the Trope Report, or should I do one?

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages? On to another matters.
@Scyther Entry: a couple of comments.
First, I think about one hundred eggs may be a bit too much. Unless population density for Scyther in the grasslands is very volatile and (maybe) mortality rate of infants is extremely high, I'd guess forest borderlines could be seasonally infested by practising hunters which would be something that wouldn't go unnoticed. Maybe the eating the mate thing counters it a bit, but right now it leaves me puzzled on how would it affect their social structure.
Second, something I missed upon a second reading is the structure and functionality of the wings, and how this changes upon evolution. Inspection of backsprites of Gen3 and Gen4 and of the few good scenes in the anime where Scyther is shown fighting indicate me that Scyther's wing are like those of scarabs (or Heracross) in the sense that a pair of "hard" wings protects a set of winglets. I'd guess the hard ones function as both shield and a sort of helm. After all it makes sense that Scyther being designed for precision and circling attacks, Flash Step and tilt are very important — but with the shape of the arms I'd guess that Scyther's cutting trategies rely on impulse and are thus vulnerable to knock off damage, where the wings could be bent, damaged or otherwise directly reachable by an opponent.
Or maybe I'm extrapolating too much.
After evolving into Scizor, I think there are a couple of 'Dex entries that make reference to the wings becoming harder and being used primarily to dissipate heat. With the blades becoming pincers I think it may make sense that the wings become larger and also seem to be located higher in the body; also the weak point in direct combat may switch from the back (and wings) to the flanks.
About Social Structure, the very act of thinking about that section brings to my mind memories of the time I read Dragonfree's Scyther's Story. I can't comment or suggest without comparing, so...
@Sullen Frog: I somehow missed Rhyhorn entry (and Bagon as well) and those are some of the ones I'm interested in, so let me do a quick reading and I'll get back to you by updating this post if I find something important to comment on and I notice that what I was to suggest (Rhydon't migration pattern) was already taken care of.
EDIT: on a third reading, Rhyhorn's relative sluggishness and their tendency to ram into things suggests me that an important component of their courting would be the search and defense of "dens" close to mineral vens.

Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Nice Lileep story by the way.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I'll toss Scholastica a PM for the Trope Report. Up to 131 pokemon so far, assuming I didn't miscount.
edit: does this look good?
Everybody loves Pokémon, or at least used to at some point. Unfortunately, info on the biology and everyday living habits of our favorite critters is either very sparse or grossly inaccurate (Magcargo being 18000° at it's core? Come now, that's hotter than the surface of the sun!). Here at the Extended Fanon Pokédex, our goal is to fill in those gaps and fix those gross inaccuracies using logic, science, and the art of ass pull! And with about 500 pokémon to cover, we need assistance! If you love pokémon, or maybe just have a single favorite pokémon, then come on down, mix ideas, and help contribute! 131 pokémon cataloged and counting!

XP granted for befriending a giant magical spider!I like the add. It's very well written, concise, sure to generate interest, and even if it doesn't incite anyone to actually contribute we'll still get more readers in order to check us out.
The Danse Macabre CodexI also like it.
INT is knowing a tomato is a fruit. WIS is knowing it doesn't belong in a fruit salad. CHA is convincing people that it does.Looks good. Maybe add one line noting that we are also interested in geography/society articles as well.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?I wholly support that blurb, and not just because you made reference to the infamous Magcargo entry. ;D
(For the record, Camerupt has the same thing IIRC. Game Freak has zero sense of scale.) I might get cracking on that one once I'm done with Omanyte and Omastar.
Amateur pilot, writer and sketchbook jockey and a fan of astronomy, fish, cars and steampunk. ...for science!I'm considering writing the Tangela entry, but I'm unsure of how to handle the whole 'nobody has seen what it looks like under the vines' issue. I mean, it'd be pretty laughable if nobody in the scientific community had ever tried to move the vines away to see for themselves...
You can just throw that part out. Though maybe note that Tangela tend to be averse to exposing their faces, so many trainers never see them.

Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Speaking of that what about Digglet? I have a few ideas about that, I think that [DATA EXPUNGED]. And Dugtrio are actually [DATA EXPUNGED].
Sorry, I can't hear you from my FLYING METAL BOX!Maybe they look something like hairless Furret? I dunno. Annoying thing about this project is that what a Diglett looks like under the ground is a fun mystery out-of-the-universe, but in practice would be answered in 10 seconds.
Do you highlight everything looking for secret messages?Hey guys, it's Crow checking in. Nice entries, guys! I'll try and get mine up as soon as I can find a decent USB connection... and people are fighting over Bidoof. Crazy. I have Bidoof, Cranidos, Slateport City, and some other random Pokes on the go right now.

Formerly known as Crow T. Robot.I made a correction to the Lileep entry yesterday for some wording issues (tenses and Wailord, mostly). Since the Nidoran entry is taking lots of work, I'll also work alongside on the Hoothoot entry and maybe I can get it ready on Monday.
What will the lucky troper to take the Eevee entry do?
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google? The obvious silly way out would be to use the Zalgo text static for Diglett/Dugtrio.
One problem with the Scyther/Scizor entry:
I think the last half of a sentence got bonked in there
Actually, I'll confine all further technical proofreading to PM's for the sake of not cluttering the thread. Asking clarification or other discussions of actual content is still a good idea to leave on the thread, of course.
