The Pokédex - Extended Fanon Edition

I'm pretty sure it has to be the Pokemon/their real life basis, not something that happens to share the same characteristics.

Since it's the twelfth where I am at this point, I would like to call dibs on the Goodra and Tyrunt lines. In the process of working on Basculin,but have some deadlines I need to meet before I can actually plunge into it.

I'm talking about mentioning the connection in the Culture section, like the main character having an Espurr and its behavior is foreshadowing or something like that.

Does the character of Carrie have a pet cat in the movie though?

Um, I actually have been planning to claim Tyrunt since it was announced...

If you still really want to do it, we can collaborate.

I really want to lay claim to the Inkay line, but I know I'll screw it up and make it suck. Because I suck like that.

Pancham is practically begging for a Jojo's Bizzare adventure reference somewhere in it's article. Well, not pancham so much as Pangoro.

So... I've been thinking of joining this and, can I call dibs on Froakie line? =P

Not to step on anyone's toes, but I saw the Honedge line dibs had expired. If possible, could I lay claim?

Some notes I was going to include:

• Reference Kalos' history of warfare as a reason for the heavy population in the region compared to others.
• Mention that Honedge evolve into Doublade like Magnemite to Magnaton, only as more mutual after dueling.
• Note that Doublade evolves by "sharpening" itself against a Dusk Stone to evolve into Aegislash.
• Point out the diet of lifeforce feeding mentioned in the Litwik line and point out a mod needed for the substitution machine to feed Honedge.
• Add a pop culture of Aegislash as Excalibur in King Arthur stories.

Honedge just got claimed 6 days ago, there's still 3 months till the dibs expires

So, has the Mawile dibs expired? The current one was made in June of last year.

That's not how Honedge works anyway. It evolves by fission then refusing.

Also; nice shoutout to Litwik; probs a lot of pokemon feed off that.

It did? I thought the date said November 13 2013. I must be going daffy or something. I guess I just missed the show is all. I don't suppose I could convince the place holder into a collaboration?

The date on the page is the day of the claim.

It would have been impossible for the Honedge line dibs to have expired, dibs have only been open for Gen VI mons for a little over a month.

Since no one has complained about my plans to claim Inkay, I shall go ahead and call dibs on the line now.

If anyone wants it late I can hand it over if need be.

I will make Inkay's cuteness creepy. and make Malamar as creepy as possible.

Uncanny Valley perhaps? I'm interested how you incorporate the strobe lights they're known for.

In the wild, they use them to avoid getting eaten.

Combine them with the Inkay's developing psychic powers, and they make for an improbably popular pet. Particularly among young, impressionable children, who would protect their best friend/pet from anything and anyone who wants to take them away.

Also, they won't be good swimmers, in spite of looking like they should be.

I'm going for "Cute, but a bit creepy" on Inkay and "hideously creepy and not cute at all" on Malamar.

Check Bulbapedia for their Pokedex entries, and the official website for further flavour info. Just for reference.

You should also probably make note of their theme of reversal somehow. (their design, Ability, signature move, method of evolution...)

Make no mistake, I will reference the flipping.

Their evolution will be a bit tricky... maybe their brains turn upside down or something?
