Interesting, Anom, and I'll have it into consideration for the Minccino Article (yeah yeah I know). Care if we can meet in the chatroom sometime to discuss, on general terms, what kind of interaction would they have?

Not necessarily instantaneous, but the point here is that you won't find rhyhorndons, vultales and magyaradoses running around.

Delurking to announce a desire to have some kind of mention of Pikachu being used in research into non-Psychic Pokemon-human communications. Hey You Pikachu is ultimately a very silly game that runs on Rule of Cute, but the Poke Helper has some interesting implications.

Clearly some kind of Pokemon language/communication method in theory decipherable by humans exists in mainline game canon if N isn't completely insane, so.

Some form of body language, perhaps? Because there's no way he could talk to something like a Roggenrolla using a speech-based language.

I'm thinking equipment that integrates, or augments, body language manifestations based on mood or some other variable, using either Jane!Aura, a base mind-language construct or whatever. So you could just equip it to a Pokémon that lacks a certain medium of communication, or is hard to understand either way, and then it improves the expresiveness of their body language. Think those japanese brainwave-based cat ears, applied to Pokémon.

Also... about time I let you guys know. Since I can't keep updating the chatroom log by myself alone any longer (and even the less once I get to the RP cameo part...) I decided that it should be a collaborative effort as all things in this Project are. Hence, Chatroom Topics. It is still unrevised and contains only some minor info, but I think it has the correct structure. Would welcome questions and contributions.
