Hey guys, remember Rockman? It's really obscure, I know you might not have heard of it.

Eh, I'd rather be with SHIELD. Nosy or not, at least they try to be good guys. With Hydra, I'd be surrounded by sneaky, backstabbing, ne'er-do-wells.

Though, I will admit it is hard to tell who's with Shield and who's with Hydra, as Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. have proven very well.

Anyhoo, back to talking about Mega Man-related topics.

In the Archie Comics Mega Man comics, when did Zero get the look that we remember him for (from MMX 2 to now)?

I think he always had that look.

Actually, no. Zero was mostly destroyed during his battle with Vile at the end of Mega Man X. He was then rebuilt by Dr. Cain, I do believe, in X2 after you gathered all of his parts into the form we know him for.

If I recall, from what I've read, Zero only shows up in his X1 look (as all the X stories so far are prequels to it), but when he is featured on covers, he has his X2 onward look for iconography reasons.

Ah.

So wait, did they establish in what time period the MMX characters were from in the crossover? (Like before MMX 5 or 6 or 8 or whatever?) Because there is the fact that, yeah, the X stories thus far were prequels to when Sigma was still a good guy, but now, he's the Big Bad in the Worlds Unite crossover, so...

If I recall, didn't the previous Sonic crossover also include plot elements that the mainline Mega Man comic wasn't anywhere close to (like Bass), with the justification of time whatever involved in the world merging?

Yep! The X5 Maverick Hunters and Vile are also in.

Vile's always nice. Which design, X8? Or one of the implied 2 Viles that came before it?

(Vile in X8 is Five, while last we saw him in X3, he was Two. Speaking of which, did they explain where Vile came from in X8? X and Zero don't seem that surprised to see him.)
