Troper Updates II, Part II

In which we get updates from the lives of tropers. Kinda like Twitter with more than 140 characters, but less than a blog or LJ.

Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.

I need to read it at some point.

What? I grew up watching The Tick cartoon after school.

I grew up watching Xena and Hercules: The Legendary Journeys.

Kevin Sorbo IS THE ONLY Hercules in my opinion.

I used to love the cartoon, it was the only thing I liked about Jetix.

GOOD NEWS: Got a loaner computer.

BAD NEWS: My real laptop's probably going to come back in a week or so, rendering this whole painful ordeal of stupid shit like "lol sign here and wait for 43958340840 hours!!!!" an exercise in uselessness.

Yeah the comic is pretty awesome. Especially because of Clark Oppenheimer.

Also...Haven...you're awesome.

It's not exactly naive. And it can happen. But it's tough. And definetly worthwhile.

Back.

A new cafe is opening up about ten minutes away from my house. Here is a screenshot of their twitter feed, with emphasis added to a certain entry.

Mark: Fuck yeah those two shows you mentioned!

Mark: Sounds like a plan! raises vodka bottle towards Mark in a salute I, too, plan this. It's an excellent way to drive the tendrils of the trees out of ones brain and keep away other things.

Also. Vodka. Gooooooooooooooooooood.smile

Haven: He is right in them being evil though. Just wrong on why!

And that post was funny.

Mellon: WHAT? Really?? SO COOL.

Here's to driving those trees away, Senator, especially if said trees are of the Evil Dead variety!

What? Needlesome nonsense, fallacious fabrications, synthetic slander, and hollow haberdashery! I will not stand here and be made out to be some crass hippie beatnik!

I like your diction*

Oh, he's not literally there, but he's probably within a couple hundred yards. If this building was taller I'd probably be able to see him.

That is correct, and not at all, excellence in prose is something I love to strive for.

Glass? Woman, I drinks right from the bottle of Jameson. Unless by glass you meant bottle.

Cause I'm badass like that. My friends are awed by my ability to knock back whiskey from the bottle with no chaser.

Zyx - Well, good, then! I kind of want to speak like you can/do, in a way. Not the terseness, though getting that down pat without coming off as boring would be quite nice...More like...Learning how to use words well! Yeah! God I probably sound like a child who just found out that there's more than just water colors and colored pencils when it comes to art...

Mark: I meant bottle! As I too, drink straight from the bottle! My friends are amazed that I can drink vodka like water. And no fucking chaser either.

Excellence in eloquence? It's not that different from, say, using a guitar, practice at it and the whole range of the English language can be yours to craft your prose with.

Hell yeah, Senator! High five!

My goal is to one day be able to kill a whole bottle of whiskey in one go. Kind of like that scene with Bluto in Animal House; except it wouldn't be Jack. I loathe Jack Daniels.

high fives Excellent! That seems like a goal to have!

Lolipod: Damn I could do that much or more vodka... But the joints? Can't do that. It reacts badly with me.(I may have an intolerance apparently, as my reaction to it is the exact same as people with an intolerance to weed.) is vaguely impressed
