Troper Updates II, Part II

I'm dealing with some problems in one of my gaming communities... a former member just won't leave me or the rest of my gaming group alone even after we've all blocked them and said, in no uncertain terms that we don't want anything to do with this person anymore.

And then they found a loophole in the game's blocking system and used it to contact us today.

I'm so done with people.

Resupplied my liquor stock after work today - fifth of Evan Williams, a staple in my drinking diet and on a whim, some Cruzan 151. If rum and cokes with 100 proof rum are .50 cal, rum and cokes with this are 30mm HE.

Lost a $100 order from an UK shop thanks to incompetent "shipping broker" subcontracting the delivery to a string of courier companies playing hot potato with it. Of course the "broker" made a significant error in the address, making the delivery impossible anyway, but what would you expect from a country that uses colossally, coprolithically moronic names like "Vicar's Diddleshack" or "Whoremonger's Shed" instead of proper fucking house numbering?! It's like they spent the last six centuries or so under a fucking rock, missing on the invention of house numbers by the Venetians!

Seriously, I told the store manager to use Inpost this time. They're maligned for exploiting their employees and being generally incompetent, but they managed to take care of the last leg of my order from India (organized by a marginally less incompetent "broker"), have an UK branch that should run everything A to Z without any hot potato bullshit, and are even cheaper than what the store paid for the lost order.

That does seem to be an unfortunate side effect.

I have to cram in 3 years of high school material in my brain for the next 4 months so I can take a test that allows me to properly graduate high school. Gah.

Well, at least I have to deal with the foreseen consequences of skipping ahead to college.

I've been daydrunk since 11am. Feels good man.

In a twist worthy of M. Night Shalalala, this time we're going with cheap company based out of Poland.

And the package is, once again, going through some sort of goddamned broker, but this time it shouldn't get lost between the second and third company playing hot potato with it.

Today was the first day of my internship at the hospital. Despite very limited sleep the night before, I didn't kill anyone or burn down the hospital! (Yet.)

What are you interning for?

Clinical laboratory technician. In short, being the person to actually run those 6 million different tests the doctors want to run on you and tell them what it looks like is going on.

Cool, I deal with our Lab personnel quite a bit. I have been working for a health system (system of hospitals, clinics, dr.s offices etc) as a Maintenance Mechanic for a bit over 5 years now.

I do routine maint. on some of their equipment.

Cool. Techs and maintenance staff, Blood Brothers for life. (Or at least partners in crime, I certainly dread the thought of actually doing all tests by hand that gets done automatically in our machines.)

Boredom mixed with depression over the fact that President Trump is official now. Yay.

I just finished writing the dinner scene in my short story, and now I made myself hungry. >.< ^_^;;

Hospital internship stuff: my rotation in Automated Chemistry is done, now on to Hematology and Urinalysis before hitting Microbiology, (aka determining what kind of bacterial infection someone has developed) Blood Bank, (aka testing compatibility for blood donations) and Phlebotomy. (Aka actually being the person to stick someone with a needle and get the required blood sample.)

Going to be moving away from the town I've lived in for the past 5-6 years to be closer to home. Was very sad to tell my boss and employees at my job that I'll be leaving in about 2-3 weeks.
