Funfact: The first game's manual says Mundus was born. So there is probably something higher than him.
Within a short time he gained his full powers and took over the Devil Throne. His first act as a ruler of all devils was to declare himself emporer of the Devil Kingdom. His next feat was an invasion of the human world. His plan was to conquer it and rule over both the lower and upper realms.
... So Mundus was a Psychopathic Manchild when Sparda took him down?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Queen Sheba was probably humoring him.
Watch SymphogearLate response, but I think both of Lady's looks are top tier.
Then again, I really really like Lady so i'm biased.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!Anyway, if Mundus IS going to return, will he get a different voice actor from the first DMC?

More than likely (is Tony Daniels even active anymore?) If that happens, I'd like to see David Sobolov take on the role.
So I decided to boot up DMC 3 after what, 8 years? I know it's been an awfully long time.
The game is noticeably dated in certain respects, like the awkward camera angles in some places and the controls not being as smooth as some other more modern games i've played, but it's held up remarkably well in a lot of other areas.
I've only played it for an hour or so, but it actually gave me something I genuinely do prefer over Bayonetta: the mood and atmosphere.
While I enjoyed the rich european landscape of Bayo and the grandiose feel to it at all, I had actually forgotten that DMC 3 was a really moody, gothic game. While it's pretty goofy and so comically over-the-top that you can't take it all that seriously (dante riding a rocket seriously what), it doesn't really detract from the rich atmosphere of dread that's present in the environments. It's pleasantly bleak.
I feel upset at myself for buying 4 on Steam and then they came out with Special Edition.
Like, fuck, there's not even an upgrade option.
Yeah I agree. Devil May Cry 1 had the best atmosphere in my opinion.
That's a right dick move. I've only imported my copy just recently by chance.
Speaking of DMC 1 I got curious and gave it another go since i wasn't feeling it the first time.
i agree about the atmosphere in it being great (you can tell it was supposed to be a RE game at first), and triangle jump aside it's fun.
...but honestly, FUCK Phantom. I don't have a problem with dying to a boss a lot but I feel this was poorly thought out.
The space you fight him in is very cramped and has a lot of pillars. This makes blocking his projectile relatively simple, but it also makes your fighting space when combined with the archaic fixed angles of the camera super annoying because it means you won't necessarily be able to see what he's doing, so you can get shot or jumped on with no way to know.
Btw his jump is fucking garbage, he's so big that it's very difficult to dodge unless you were at the right camera angle and place to begin with.
I don't think Phantom is nearly as bad as people make him out to be, like like...he's about on the same level as Ninja Gaiden's Murai, in that once you learn how to approach him he's pretty manageable.
My least favorite DMC 1 boss fights were final Nightmare and 2nd Griffin. Final Nightmare for being That One Boss, being the 3rd time you fight him and his gimmick attack making you refight other bosses on top of that. and the Camera Screw being some of the most annoying in the game. 2nd Griffin is frankly just a mess mechanically and I never really understand what's going on there.
I'm still saddened by the fact that my copy of the game kept crashing.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I managed to beat Phantom, I forgot I had devil trigger lol that was what it took.

I don't think I even needed Devil Trigger the first time I fought him. Didn't die even once, too.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.DT in DMC 1 is kind of broken TBH.
I concur that DMC 3 has the weakest art design. Except for DMC 2, of course, Jesus that game is almost entirely ugly and uninspired save for one or two moments.
Though I liked hell's look in 3.
I felt the Sin Prides were uninteresting. I much preferred the Marionettes and scarecrows (Monster Clown types are weirdly popular starter foes in this series).
But you know, the art design wasn't terrible. Just a little boring compared to the other games.
It's easily the most powerful it's been in the series. Not just by how much it boosts you but the additional moves it gives you are super good.
What do you think of Griffon's design? I think it's just total WTF material.
Wasn't he just a giant eagle or something?
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!So why did Dante take on a stereotypical stoic personality in DMC 2? That always seemed odd to me.
Probably because the dev team for that game thought it would make him seem a cooler character.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. The headcanon I came up with ages ago was that Dante ate some bad pizza right before going there and was dealing with a killer stomach ache the entire time.

Yeah, something like that. He could be an Expy of the First Evil. Except that he can take physical form whenever he wants to.
