Make your own Magic card!

I'm not much of a Magic Player, though my Pathfinder GM loves it, and often likes playing a quick game before everyone arrives, or if not enough people show up.

One gameplay style we enjoy is Archenemy, the one vs. many style where one player starts with more life points, as well as having Scheme cards. It seems only four scheme decks were made. Necromancer, Dragonlord, Archdruid, and Mad Artificer. (Roughly allying with Black, Red, Green, and Blue, respectively, though the last could be utilized with other decks.)

Anyways, our group really thinks there could be other Archenemy decks. One theme I think they could really use is a white-themed Rebel Leader. Schemes include converting creatures to the Archenemy's side through propaganda and charisma, summoning rioting hordes, gaining more resources as the wealth of the bourgeois is distributed, and perhaps destroying enemy creatures in Reign of Terror-inspired executions as enemies of the revolution.

Mostly, I think a white-themed Archenemy deck would be entertaining, and shows that White isn't always pure sunshine and roses.

Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.

You might want to check the other Magic threads - this one lines up more with cards that only exist in our own minds, we've also got them for general talk and sets that aren't yet fully public.

Granted, the spiel in the beginning ran a bit long, but I figured that discussing special decks and scheme themes (Oooh, nice rhyme) that didn't exist would be close enough to the theme of the topic.

But I concede the point and offer apologies if it's still inapropros.

This card should make more sense to those familiar with Battlebots. Especially if they watched the new premiere this past sunday.

I hate to say it, but Nightmare is an old black card :p

I do like the idea of a creature that would never tap normally but won't get back up if it does.

Yeah a name change is in order.

Fine, added 'Battlebot' to the end of the name. That should settle it.

I'm hoping Return to Theros involves Elspeth managing to return from the underworld, get her spark back, and kill Heliod, while Kruphix tries to stop her and the power of the gods continues to weaken. The night sky is getting oily.

Return to Return to Theros, after the king of the gods is dead and the pantheon is down to only thirteen, then Phyrexia invades, exactly as Kruphix feared. Because Elspeth can't have nice things. :P

Elspeth replaces Heliod in the pantheon.

Plot Twist: Heliod isn't naturally a jerk, being head of the Pantheon just makes you that way. By taking Heliod's spot in the Pantheon, she turns into just as terrible a being as he was.

Well, I don't think Heliod was the head of the pantheon, really. He was just the one of the gods who was most keen to say he was.

And yes, Elspeth stamps the Phyrexian invasion out handily. They've had enough fun.

Thinking about it a good way to survive Infect is with toughness-buffing enchantments, so a phyrexian invasion might find itself fighting a voltron-like nyxborn collective.

I've been watching some DVD's of the original 1984 Voltron I picked up secondhand. I know you didn't mean defeating the Phyrexians through the power of terrible voice acting, but the mental image is too amusing to deny.

Oh, don't mistake me, that's exactly what I'm eventually hoping for too. :D Storylinewise, Theros seems like the perfect place for Elspeth to finally call her home. But she has to deal with Heliod, Kruphix is established as worrying about threats from other planes which is pretty clearly foreshadowing an invasion of some kind, New Phyrexia seems likely to invade small and out-of-the-way planes like Theros first, and Elspeth's home plane was devastated by Phyrexian remnants in her childhood so not coming full-circle and allowing her to defend her new home against them would be bad writing. "[Home] is what you fight for", after all.

I just don't want it to be easy. >:}
