Celestial Prism costs 2 whenever you want to tap it. Depending on how long the game goes, the Plowshare will pay for itself even without the versatility of it.

Speaking of said versatility, though, +1/+1 seems a bit on the low side for an equipment that takes that much to get to. :/ Also, I think weapons usually add +?/+0.

EDIT: BTW, something is only "strictly worse" than something else if both things are otherwise exactly the same. For instance, Magma Jet isn't "strictly worse" than Searing Spear because the Spear doesn't also let you scry.

EDIT 2: If anything, the Prism is a lot less helpful than the Plowshare because, even though the Plowshare has the restriction of needing to be equipped, that equip cost need only be paid once. You will have a net increase in mana, while the Prism will get you a decrease.

It's effectively either a 5 drop mana rock with the price of tapping a creature or 7 mana for a +1/+1 bonus and one of it's colors is the one best at mana ramping already. I like the flavor, I just don't think it's any good.

Point about the P/T boost being underwhelming for what you have to do to get it. What would you suggest is worth the cost? (Or would it be better to reduce the casting cost? I dunno.)

Also, weapons aren't always +X/+0.

@Kyler Thatch: I'd probably bump the casting cost to 2 the equip cost to 1 and the transform cost to a single colored mana. That gives it the effective cost of a mana rock, and it pays for the versility by needing to tap a creature to get mana.

Going by how planeswalkers names are used in types, George Washington would be "Planeswalker - George", wouldn't he?

[up][up] Regeneration isn't a thing; Regenerate is a verb, usually an activated ability; it requires either a cost or a trigger.

EDIT: Undying and Persist are things, too; perhaps you meant one of them.
EDIT 2: Never mind; apparently neither of them work properly on tokens.

Nope, tokens disappear first. Regeneration would keep them on the battlefield, buuuuuuuut...

I'll just give them lifelink instead, I guess.

[up][up][up]I'm pretty sure that would just say "Destroy all colored creatures." And it would probably cost less. Unless that wording enables some combo I'm not aware of.

@Noa: They could just have "0: Regenerate this creature," but I'm not sure how something that even gives you tokens should be a +2, much less ones with abilities, and especially for such a comparatively cheap Planeswalker. :/ Black, of all colors, does not need to go too far out of its way to flip that guy.

Seems a mite OP, although I'll have to check other Planeswalkers that make tokens to compare it.

After glancing at a quick Gatherer search, it seems a 1/1 for +1 is decent for most planeswalkers; a few make tokens at cost. As for a 1/1 with an ability, well... :/ I guess, call the combo required to flip the guy as bumping up his CMC by like 2, and I guess at +1, a 1/1 with lifelink ain't bad. EDIT: Maybe "2B: Regenerate this creature" would be okay.

His ultimate would be interesting in multiplayer, to be sure (and would draw a 'lot'' of aggro), but as it is, people will only take the life loss; in a 1v1, 1 life per creature sacced is pretty weak, so maybe bump it to "For each sacced, each opponent sacs a creature unless they pay 2 life" (which is how I think it'd be worded; words like "must" are considered redundant nowadays).

I'm pretty sure that would just say "Destroy all colored creatures."

I'm pretty sure it would only destroy creatures that have all colors. It says "and", not "or".

[up] I dunno; "Protection from red and black," for instance, means "protection from red and protection from black." I actually think it is longhand for "Destroy all colored creatures."

EDIT: And there is that one Un-card that makes pink teddy bears. :/

EDIT 2: Putting "or" in there would make it just as vague. Pretty sure "and" has established meaning.

@Knowless - But if it's both undercosted and underpowered it balances out, right? :P

The costing and combo difficulty was bothering me also. (Of course the first DFC I think up is also a planeswalker in an unfamiliar colour... :P ) I'd much rather make it harder to transform than expensive.

I failed the planeswalker side hilariously - the idea was that you should be able to supplement enough Minion tokens to clear enough of the playing field to survive with the best stuff, but not only did I arrange it so Guilliam would end up with a mess of loyalty and nothing to do with it, but I was also trying to mitigate how White it felt and messed that up too. :/

Let's try this instead.

Loyal Drudge - BB
Creature - Human Minion
If you sacrifice ~, you may pay 10 life to return it to the battlefield and transform it.
"You're not going to kill me. I'm more useful to you al-" - anonymous servant
1/1
(TRANSFORM)
Guilliam Timble, Retired Sacrifice
Planeswalker - Guilliam
+1: Regenerate target creature.
-2: Target player discards or sacrifices a number of cards equal to the remaining loyalty of ~.
-X: All creatures get -X/-X until end of turn. For each creature which dies this turn, gain one life.
