I'd say activities like cooking aren't something that could qualify you as developing muscle or being athletic.

Wasn't Natsumi doing some serious running and jumping once in Mundus Magicus, enough to impress Kotaro, though? And Ako was a soccer player. I'd say she's more athletic than even the cheerleaders.

No, Ako was a Cute Sports Club Manager for the soccer team; she didn't do any actual sports activities. And the bit with Natsumi happened during the 7 year Time Skip at the end, and seemed more like Determinator-level Plucky Girl stuff, so that technically doesn't count.

You know, I find it kinda sad that despite Negima having cool plot and action as well as interesting universe, the best they can produce is a game about training girls for a fitnesses test.

This manga reputation was really hurt by early chapters.

There are some decent enough DS strategy games and GBA card-battling games. Problem is that there's no complete fan translation.

The DS games are interesting since, after you pick an attack target, it turns into a 2D fighter for 10 seconds, making you try to deal as much damage as you can that way before it goes to the next character's turn. evil grin

Ako knew damn well how to do cannonball soccer kicks, enough to impress the St. Ursula sempais, and often, soccer managers are former players. Being associated with active players, I'm of the belief she either played for a while or at least is at ease with the sport herself.

As for Natsumi, no, I seem to remember an instance in Mundus Magicus where Kotaro commented on how she had developed her physical condition after seeing her run or something.

When Kotaro was chasing Natsumi for the pactio, he commented that she was faster than he expected. Doesn't mean much.

[up]Still more than what people like Satsuki or Hakase got. The only strenght feat canon gives Hakase is carrying that huge metal backpack with the arms, but she either might have been in Pactio mode (which always boosts physical stats), or it might have been made from an ultralight material.

By the way, if Chachamaru is made of very heavy metal, how can she sit at normal chairs all the time without breaking them under her weight?

I always assumed she's made from something more advanced that simple metal. Some futuristic Carbon nanotubes or something.

Considering Chachamaru's size, I doubt she weighs that much.

Maybe Chachamaru was never sitting. She was just holding her body in a seated position.wild mass guess

That's something I'd expect of Jones, not Chachamaru.

When was Chachamaru stated to be really heavy again? I forget.

Her character notes, IIRC.

Maybe she got a specially-made seat to handle her weight? Otherwise, she might not be putting all of her weight on the seat in the first place; her robot body is probably built to be able to do that for prolonged periods without sustaining long-term wear on her mechanical joint-actuators.

[up]NEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRDD!

LOL I kid. I was actually thinking the same thing you were; that Chachamaru isn't exerting all her weight on the seat. Another idea (that might connect with this one) is that she's exerting more force through her legs than her center of mass, thus keeping her upright in a sitting position.

Or she doesn't weight enough more than a normal person to break a chair.

She could be made out a less dense material. That would explain why she was so easy to get cut in half...

And yet all the others that weren't made out of metal's bodies weere intact combating them. Clearly they're made of iron.

Chachamaru is probably physical tougher than a tank. Somehow.

[up][up] Probably, if only because as a magically-powered robot, she probably is capable of reinforcing her body parts with magical energy to some degree.
