Fisticuffs is not a thing my Courier does. Besides, C4 is the best holdout weapon. /covers all the casinos and the Fort in C4

If I could make a damn merged patch in Linux, I'd probably set the Wattz 1000 Laser Pistol up as a holdout weapon.

Real men kill deathclaws and final bosses with their bare hands. Paralyzing Palm makes both of those suprisingly easy.

Some one the holdout weapons are ridiculous, small blades and easily concealable guns I can understand. But powers fists? Giant hand guns? Cleavers?

One, my Courier is female, two, REAL men use a Silenced .22 Pistol instead of exploiting sissy perks like Paralyzing Palm.

Oh yeah, using guns is so much manlier than beating them to death with your bare hands.

Punching a defenseless man (paralyzing palm victim) to death is not manly, it's cowardly.

Well neither is blasting them to the ground with a shotgun, but it's still awesome.

I honestly don't think I've ever made an unarmed or melee build. I've done guns, energy weapons, and pacifism, but I've never gotten up close and personal to taste the adrenaline as I rip the life from my enemy's eyes.

... Actually, no, I did have a short-lived melee character. Low intelligence and charisma, high endurance and strength, named Grognak. But I got bored with him quickly.

What's more ridiculous is the inconsistency in what the game deems holdout weapons.

I just take Unarmed as a secondary combat skill on my characters who normally use Guns and Energy Weapons, solely for the Ballistic Fist.

And unlike your coward attack, they can actually fight back instead of just lying there, getting literally curbstomped.

Yeah, Holdout weapons are weird. Sleepytime = perfectly concealable, Ranger Sequoia = unpossible to hide.

For my birthday, I am getting a new PC, and probably a new headset with a mic and Fraps. I have wanted to do an LP of Vegas for a while, before I even bought the game. I would play through as Wilson Braun, Science Hero! Tagged skills to start with are energy weapons, SCIENCE!, and probably medicine. I also want to specialize in unarmed, for a Two-Fisted Tales vibe. A few mods, like maybe th oven mod, some clipping fixes, and a retexture or two, but otherwise nothing else's but the add-ons.

Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged Men

I have no qualms at all about using whatever way is necessary to ensure my PC in any game I play is the one standing over the corpse of the mob he or she has just killed instead of the other way round.

Which is why I loved Metal Gear Solid and its way of allowing you to daisy chain Claymore mines and C4 along corridors so that any mob that survived the gauntlet along those corridors to confront my Snake didn't have a lot of mates with him or her.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas are a bit trickier for me to do that, so I usually end up going with the "kinetic weapons are just better" plan.

I found this ridiculous spawn in hardcore mode on the way to nipton, do you know those two house ruins where raiders are while on the long trip?

Well 10 raiders were spawned RIGHT BEHIND the otherside of the wall which made my compass painted red. I survived with one health intact after getting crippled in the legs.

Holy hell.

Anyway I just need to save up 2000 caps or do that kings quest to get me a cheap card into the strip so I can mess up everyone. Anyway new record, my game never crashed or slowed down until I got to camp mccarran. Its a miracle.

It seems we are in a BEARY GRIZZLY situation.

Li'l Devil (The giant hand gun) is only a level 1 holdout weapon, you don't need 50 sneak skill for it, acording to the wiki anyway
