New game from RF devs? Interested. Details please, I'd research myself but I have to step out for an hour or two.
If you ever get annoyed by haters bashing Nintendo on whatever social network you use, I'd suggest using the Strong Bad approach to Spring Cleaning. Only instead of using "DELETED!", you use "BLOCKED!"
Personally, I'd prefer if the 'net was a little friendlier, but you know the GIFT...At Best Buy next Sunday, you can buy 1 get 1 free several first party games. Looks like I finally have the excuse I need to get Kirby and Bravely Default.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I hope my Best Buy is participating in this...
And that Mario And Luigi: Dream Team is part of the bonus sale, otherwise there isn't much interest to me (except maybe Bravely Default, but I'd rather have Mario Party Island Tour over that).
While I'm in the UK so all I can get is downloads.
Persona 3 Portable LiveblogOoh, sweet. Assuming the games shown are the only ones available I'm getting Triple Deluxe and Bravely Default. I wish Dream Team was part of this. I've been meaning to get that although I have no clue what I'd get for the free game. All the other games shown are ones I either have or don't really care about.
Triple Deluxe is the only one there that interests me (that I don't already have), so I'm not going to bother.
I wish this came later in the year. Most of the games I want like Smash 3D, Persona Q, Omega Ruby, and Fantasy Life aren't out yet.
I think Fantasy Life is eShop only.
Oooo. I might be able to finally get A Link Between Worlds and Dream Team.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
Fantasy Life is getting a physical release. Nintendo's E3 site has a list of stores where you can pre-order the game.
Actually, that doesn't necessarily mean it's getting a physical release. Certain stores allow you to preorder digital versions of games. They just give you a download code the day of release.
...
That doesn't make any sense.
It does if you're a kid without a credit or debit card. It also means that you don't have to get a pre-paid card and spend more money than the game costs.
Kostya: It's the compromise that the first parties have come up with to not ruin their relationships with the brick-and-mortar stores, and still have a thriving digital store.
Pre-orders for digital versions would make more sense if they came with the same cool kinds of gifts (such as figurines or art books) that physical pre-orders get.
In most ways, a download version is handier: no cartridge swapping, no worries of cartride being lost or broken, if memory card is lost or broken, re-download game for free...
The only advantage a physical copy ever has is that you can lend it to friends or sell it.
You underestimate the need for a collector to be able to look at a physical object on their shelf.
What's better for preservation though?
Oh I certainly do understand. I prefer having my boxes and manuals and discs. But I can also agree on the conveniences of the digital era.
Interesting question! A digital copy can end up lost forever if the service goes down and your storage device gets corrupted, but physical copies can just wear out of usable condition over time.
So, neither?

Anybody else having trouble with the Best Buy deal? I tried to order the games online and it says I have to pick them up at a store fore some unknown reason. So I check to see what store I can go to and it's saying they're unavailable in every single store near me. Brilliant system you people have got here!
I want Kirby and Bravely Default. Neither were in the store I went to. Bravely wasn't available even online. Hopefully they get new shipments by Tuesday.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Same with me. I guess Best Buy underestimated how many people would want those games.
My 3DS has an issue: the fucking L button won't work anymore.
Heres the kicker: it was bought brand new, I've had it only for a year and 5 months and it hasn't seen any misuse.
Literally everything else works perfectly, but the L button has a lottery winner chance of working, even when pressed repeatedly, rendering certain games nearly unplayable. (or atleast making them frustrating)
And my wife got hers as a preowned back when Pokémon X/Y came out and that one has no issues!
So, is this a common issue with certain "batches" of 3DS or something? (similar to the early models of the PS 2 and XB 360 just dying in a year)
If I had the money, I'd just get a new one, maybe an XL since they seem more suited for my giant hands, but pocket space worries me somewhat.
the L button issue is fairly common. I tend to just suck the dust out and it'll work for a while after that. the 3ds is kind of a shitty system, from a hardware stand point.
nyo ho ho
You actually missed 2 games, not 1. Forbidden Magna (the new title from the Rune Factory devs) and a tease for a new Kenka Bancho.
