Wouldn't be the first time he had Foe Yay for a game. He once said Top Gun was a piece of shit he might have some affection for.
Probably a reference to his very first review.
I hope James keeps making videos for a long time, but if this were the last AVGN episode, I'd be happy. Entertaining, informative, and weirdly touching... in a profane, scatological, sophomoric sort of way.
Happy 100th, Nerd. Don't ever change.
Groovy.R.O.B. does sound like it would have made a good toy as opposed to a video game peripheral.

That was the whole point of R.O.B. it made people shy about buying video games after the crash buy the NES because, hey it wasn't a game system, it was a robotic toy, the NES was just how you played with it.
Just using two controllers in Gyromite really does seem to make things a lot easier (at least that's the impression I get from watching the Nerd play it). Stack-Up is really the only game on the system that really requires the use of R.O.B.
I hope you get tiny bits of eggshell in all your omelettes for the rest of your life!He... he wrecked two vintage NES controllers so he could play Gyromite?
They assed first. I am only retaliating in an ass way. -The Dead Man's LifeThey might've been defective controllers. I remember him saying at a Q&A that one NES cart he destroyed in a video was a dummy cart that wasn't working.
And he said in another interview that when he destroyed Winter Games in the fireplace, he had actually extracted the game out of the plastic exterior, so he was only destroying the (now empty) plastic case.
They were probably working extra controllers. I mean, if it actually works. If it doesn't actually work, then yes, they're probably dummies.
I think that it actually works, after all his friend did make the Nintoster.
Nintoaster. You forgot the "A".
Why I am afraid of fences.Ah yes. Thanks.
For those that are interested in movies (like myself), here's a treat for you:
James and Mike go through Mike's movie collection
James goes through his movie collection
I'm just wondering when he'll do the inevitable E.T Review.
E.T's 20th anniversary is this year. So maybe..?
I'm having to learn to pay the priceMaybe James and Mike are still combing the Arizona deserts for the buried copies?
Aww, did I hurt your widdle fee-fees?James Rolfe: You found it yet?
AVGN: [[Spaceballs we ain't found shit!]]
"USE YOUR WORDS NOT THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE" ''memyselfand I 2"Hey, James and the Nerd had a brief exchange in the review of the newer Ghostbusters game:
http://www.gametrailers.com/video/angry-video-screwattack/712508 Spielbergs games
Hey, is he right about LJN being the company with the most bad games ever? Or was he just speaking in hyperbole? I think it'd be interesting if he looked at what company made the greatest number of bad games.
That review was okay. Not spectacularly funny, but pretty good.
Next time, could it be...?
It will not be next time, it will be when the movie comes out. Whenever that is.
Good episode, but man Firefox 4 really hates GT.
I had to deal with some weirdness, once the video ended I got some weirdness about a script not working, then I got a message saying Windows was increasing its virtual memory...
I ended up having to reboot my computer due to it slowing to a crawl.
Was anyone else suspicious of the particularly long shot of Castlevania II at the end?
