For long-time fans, "Flying fuckernauts and astrobastards" is a line from the AVGN episode "Atari 5200".
The Angry Video Game Nerd in anime form.
Was that the LJN logo in the background at the end?
New Nerd.
Just in time for their big screen reboot, James covers Power Rangers games. (Fighting Edition was surprisingly fun IMO).
Ha! I knew it was only a matter of time. We had a James Rolfe Power Rangers retrospective, then a James & Mike Mondays episode on one of the SNES games, it's only logical we got an AVGN on it too.
...Dammit.
So, favorite and least favorite Ranger games. Anyone? Or did we all pretend they stopped after Fighting Edition?
Also, Dat cover.

I only played one of the SNES games.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life! Here's a big one.
To be honest, I found the James & Mike Mondays episode funnier, because it was their off-the-cuff reactions ("OH, YOU'RE SERIOUS?!"), but this review still had some funny moments, and it was nice to see more footage than in the J&M episode.
Shame he didn't go into the Shadow and Silver episodes. I'm sure he could have said something about those.
That was a buggy game. No wonder fans hated it. I would have love to see the Nerd's reaction over the kiss scene .
I think that's probably now a case of It Was His Sled.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!I lost it at the "Tails killed himself" part, which to me, is even funnier due to Dorkly having years ago done a video about Tails killing himself (due to being cursed with immortality).
I also got a kick at the Captain America joke.
It was interesting how he kept inserting himself into the game. Yeah he's done that before (such as his Superman 64 episode), but never to this extent. His green screen effects have been improving a lot over the years, he really made himself look like he was part of the game.
This review was way better than I expected it to be. Those greenscreen jokes were fantastic, and I feel like James goes better into this game's flaws than people within the fandom actually do at times.
Ah, I'm a Mike Matei fan so there ya go.
I'm a fan of him as well. The person I can't stand is Ryan from Mike and Ryan.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureWell, that review surpassed my expectations. Above all, I'm glad it wasn't just a collection of rehashed jokes about it like most reviews of... well, any Sonic game are.
Am I the only one who finds it weird that at this point, he's done more Xbox 360 games than Ps 1 games?
Could you be a bit more specific? I can't recall any 360 games he's covered other than Sonic 06, and he's covered plenty of PS 1 games (one example being Independence Day).
Independence day is the only Ps 1 game to ever get a whole episode about it. Everything else was just as a part of a bunch of run-on reviews of larger anthologies, and/or really quick episodes of games that he couldn't fill out to a full review. The Ps 1 is absolutely woefully underused on the show for its library size.
And to answer the question, Ghostbusters.
To be fair, that was a separate review, not an AVGN video.
That 1950s sci-fi trailer is way ahead of its time. It's basically Animal House in Space. I would pay money to see that film, as well as Monkey Fuck and Thunderfuckers.
