NO THIS CLUB IS FOR PEOPLE WHO FEEL ENRAGED BY UNIMAGINATIVE WRITERS
I'll go ask for a thread re-name now.
An useless name, a forsaken connection. Is there a club for people who are mildly enraged by unimaginative writers but not really because in the end it makes them feel better about their own writing?
Because I'd join that.
Project progress: The Adroan (102k words), The Pigeon Witch, (40k). Done but in need of reworking: Yume Hime, (50k)Who has two thumbs and believes unimaginative writers must be drugged and sent though creativity school? *Points at self*

Here for Friendship and to find it's Nakama/Pack/Tribe :)I have been working on the same novel since I was 12, so I think I'm lazy.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....A solution to Lazy Writers....
Read anything by Earth Scorpion. Ready anything by Earth Scorpion on the topic of how to write. Read the Nobody Dies forum thread on spacebattles.com and follow anything he posts. Seriously, I lurk there and am in awe.
DO EET!
an heroic gesture would do the world goodThe difference between me and most lazy writers is that writing isn't my main hobby.
I spread my wings and I learn how to fly....I'm not bothered by bad/lazy writers... I'm more bothered by people who can't tell the difference between bad writing and good writing! Everyone has to start out somewhere but when you get lavished with praise rather than handed out a helpful constructive critique it just makes lazy writers think they don't have to try and harder.
Same thing applies to professionals! If a bad book sells, why try harder?
Although I'm not exactly qualified to comment because I just plainly don't write much these days. So much for self improvement!
Lazy writer in denial here. Though not denial over the lazy part, but over the fact that my laziness ultimately means I don't develop as a writer. That bit I don't wanna admit to myself, because then I'd actually have to do something about the laziness.
... which I will do. Another day.
Scaramouch, scaramouch will you do the fandango? So pathetic. See, I'm not lazy like the rest of you. I'm just taking my time to really bring out my creative genius. Yes, that's it, let's go with that...

Hmm. I began work on my novel in March, and as of September 16 I am about a third of the way through with six and a half chapters. It seems lazy to me, since I spend about two weeks on each chapter for writing and editing, then kick around for two weeks after that before I feel like the start of the next chapter isn't trash, but I dunno.
If you really want to see lazy writing, make sure your boss isn't looking, and dare a foray into Literotica. Each section has a couple of ideas that get endlessly recycled. (I am never reading a vampire fic again.)
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulNecro-ing because I'm writing right now.
Peeking in and think this is a good place to hang around.
I hate it when a Designated Hero complains and whines about his problems and is all-around wishy-washy instead of thinking a way around his dilemma or coming up with an unusual solution.

I'm gonna get that play finished before the end of the month. Really I am. No foolin'. This isn't like the last 500 times.
Words cast into the uncaring void of the internet.Isn't it fair to say there's a difference between a lazy and an unimaginative writer?
Or, I guess, that being lazy about actually making yourself write is not the same as writing lazily? The latter is something I hope is something I don't do. The former is something I know I do, and all the time.
Always, somewhere, someone is fighting for you. As long as you remember them, you are not alone.Sporkaganza: Lazy writing is leaning on tired cliches as crutches instead of thinking more creatively. What do you think?
Doesn't writing lazily easily lead to unimaginative writing?

Thing is that I am lazy but I don’t think I'm not creative. There is a difference. Sometimes I get discouraged because I realize I need to rewrite something or greatly develop it more.
I am imaginative as hell, but I HATE the process of actually having to write.
Case in point: I have thought up a plotline, dialogue, characters and their development, and everything else necessary for a 4-part series. After no less than three years, I'm still stuck in the first part.
"If I was a tabletop RPG character, my player would be accused of both minmaxing and overdramatic roleplaying." -Me
In which we bitch about lazy-ass, unimaginative writers, the opportunities they missed, and how we would do things better.
