That's the European release date. There is no confirmed US release date, other than "it's coming".
Moon◊Agh, Europe's getting it first AGAIN? No offense, but it's really frustrating staying away from any Layton-related stuff internet-wise. I can't stand to have my games spoiled.
I don’t even know anymore. It is out today in Europe and other PAL regions.....still waiting for my copy but it should come soon.

Never thought I'd see the day in which this game would be released.
DeerOh dear... Wright as bakery worker
But what I want to know is if I playing this spoils anything in Azran Legacy, or can I play this before Azran Legacy.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.I doubt it spoils anything, or if it does, you wouldn't know. So far they haven't made any references to past games.
I've been hearing Phoenix Wright VA is Roger Craig Smith, is that true?
With a '0', not an 'O'
Considering Japan got this in 2012, I doubt it could spoil anything from Azran Legacy. Similarly, I think you're safe on Dual Destinies spoilers.
I have a message from another time...Welp i just beat the game...it was everything i hoped it would be and a bit more.
For those who have the game too:
Is it okay to label Emeer as a Scrappy? I really dislike his antics and him actually stealing Layton's golden arm after it broke off made me hate that guy even more. I hope he's not appearing in any of the future cases...
I actually didn't think he'd get more annoying after the first trial....then he brought the bard along
but no fear he isn't involved with the next trial....
In tying with Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3, Wright sure must be glad he met Mayor Mike Haggar and his pipe in regards to the first case.
With a '0', not an 'O'Got the game the other day, it's awesome. I'm only up to chapter 2, but so far... I'm completely, 100% on the side of the witches with this one. F<$& this town, I hope it burns. I want to stab those inquisition pricks so much!
A sneak preview from the ENGLISH version, which is coming soon :DDD
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!i found emeer pretty annoying at first, then he started to grow on me.
i...cant say im fond of the anime cutscenes. it was like this in dual destinies too but the voices sound weird to me.
Pretty excited since it comes out tomorrow (for me at least). Was going to get it on Monday, because of Gamefly, but now Gamefly won't be getting it until the 30th and I'm impatient. Trying to see if I can actually buy it tomorrow...
The ENGLISH version came months ago. In Europe. Where England is.
...but my asinine pedantry aside yay, North America release today [throws confetti everywhere]
Moon◊Game's fun so far.
- I have mixed feelings about the different voice actors. Phoenix's is okay in general, but his "Objection!" is incredibly weak. I actually like Maya's a lot. I like that the voice is cheerful, but down to Earth compared to Athena's, which was kind of overly Genki, IMO. Luke's though, dear lord, it is blatantly a girl's voice. I know Luke's US voice actor kinda did a bad English accent, but I prefer a bad impression of an English boy to bad impression of a boy.
- The models are a little rough compared to Dual Destinies, but I like some of dynamic camera angles in the courtroom, like during Phoenix Giving Someone the Pointer Finger, and that the dramatic circle-around actually shows your assistant. And as much as I disliked some of the voice acting in Dual Destinies, I like the effect putting in voice acting outside of animated cutscenes has, particularly during Aldente's breakdown.
- I'm mildly amused that (this has spoilers for other Ace Attorney games) every minority that appears in Ace Attorney seems to turn out to be the culprit.
- Weird how only Professor Layton characters have the speech... beeping sound from the Layton games, while Ace Attorney and Original Generation characters alike have the sound from the Ace Attorney series.

Luke? What have they done to your voice?
Edit:
"Your faithful student, Carmin Accidenti."
...nah. Couldn't be.

I have a message from another time...i have no idea if luke had a different voice than i was used to in the european version...
but i remember feeling that aside from maya only the layton-esque characters had good voices
though that female inquisitor had a damn good objection iirc
Okay. "Mrs. Darklaw"? "Darklaw"?
That's the most hilariously on-the-nose, foreshadowy name I've seen in a Phoenix Wright game since "Deid Mann".
I have a message from another time...Heh, yeah. The names seem kind of silly and unsubtle even by Ace Attorney standards.
"This guy smiles a lot."
"Let's name him Smiles."
"PERFECT. GENIUS. HAVE A DOZEN PROMOTIONS."

oh my god. I thought you were joking
edit:
Okay, that bit with Maya and the pipe was slapsticky and hilarious.
edit:
So, this game has stuff I really wish Dual Destinies had had. More voice acted cutscenes, more animations for Nick, and voiced "HOLD IT"s from the witnesses.
