Doesn't fit with the Elemental Power titles: Dark Is Edgy

To put it simply, Dark Is Edgy just doesn't fit with the style of the other tropes under Elemental Powers. When we have titles like Playing with Fire, Making a Splash, Dishing Out Dirt, and Light The Way, we get sort of a "theme" of the titles using a verb. I.. can't really think of the right phrasing to describe it, but you can see it, right?

Meanwhile, Dark Is Edgy sounds more like tropes like Light Is Not Good, Dark Is Not Evil, and the like, rather than an Elemental Powers trope. I feel that a change is in order.

Well in works Darkness powers is an element. (the list goes on forever..)

I do agree that the Trope makes it seem rather limiting compared to the other elemental tropes.

I thought it was a redirect to Darker and Edgier.

What about Wielding The Darkness?

That's a possible one.

Some others: Striking With Shadows? Scrapping With Shadows? Dueling With Darkness?

Hm... that last one sounds too much like fighting the darkness itself, but there you go.

Yeah, that's a bit cumbersome.

Really, it seems like the "theme" on Elemental Powers names is a pun on a previously existing phrase (An Ice Person, Shock and Awe). With that in mind:

Cast A Long Shadow, Darken The Doorstep/Darken The Doorway, Shot In The Dark

EDIT: Whistling In The Dark and Curse The Darkness ("better to light a candle than to curse the darkness") as well.

Cast A Long Shadow sounds like growing, and Shot In The Dark sounds like a desperate gambit or some sort of Improbable Aiming Skills.

Darken The Doorway sounds neat, though.

I dislike Darkening The Doorway because it sounds like somebody who's presence is meant to be bad, rather than a super power.

Sounds a bit too close to Dishing Out Dirt, but...

Neither An Ice Person nor Shock and Awe fits the theme either.

Dark Is Edgy still sends the wrong message: it sounds like it's supposed to be the-same-but-less as Dark Is Evil or something of the like.

A Nice Person. Also, Shock and Awe is a military term.

Yeah, come to think of it, the real "theme" would be an element-based pun on some common phrase.

Attacking With Darkness?

I think what we need here is a phrase that uses the word darkness or something similar but doesn't have any strong meaning associated with it. The other puns work because out of context they don't sound much like a trope.

Armory Of Darkness?

^ I'm seconding Armoury Of Darkness.

It kind of sounds like, well, dark weapons.

Swallowed By Darkness?

Sounds like someone who's given into The Corruption

I Attack With Darkness?

^ I'd say it should be I'm Attacking With Darkness, to more closely fit the Dead Ale Wives quote.
