Reminds on how on Reddit, a popular user name Unidan got banned for using alts to up vote his content. Which is a big no-no. Anyone know a post that summarizes the recent bans?
On a lighter note, Katy Perry is a fan of Tumblr, which is a big endorsement.

I'm pretty sure the blog I'm following wasn't involved in a weight-loss scam, that doesn't really seem like her thing.
I decided to make a side-blog for more serious stuff, but for some reason I can't seem to customize it properly. Clicking the "customize" button brings it to a loading screen that takes an eternity to load.
I suck at tumblr. I just figured out how the inbox works (or even that it existed) like a week ago, (maybe? still not sure I'm doing it right).
But anyway, I do run a tumblog translating the work of the Chilean Surrealist collective La Mandragora into English.

I'd rather the world betray me, but I won't betray the world.Huh. I'm Chilean, and I'd never heard of it.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.That looks pretty damn cool. Will gladly reblog and share the strangeness.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception. That's a little surprising, considering how Tumblr ripped her to shreds over the Dark Horse video.
Ooh, I love surreal art/ poetry! Followed.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.I bet that happened in every social media site, and considering the type of blogs she brought up, she probably didn't see any of the hate. Even then, I bet she has thick skin by now.
The only member who was really famous at all was Braulio Arenas, as far as I know.
I'd rather the world betray me, but I won't betray the world.I'm pretty sure she's either got a thick skin or is willfully oblivious of how the rest of Tumblr sees her.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatRemember, like every other social media site, Tumblr isn't a homogeneous microscism.
Unless someone out there was determined enough to do a survey, I doubt Katy Perry's hatedom is no proportionally bigger than on Twitter or Facebook or etc. For the most part, I'd say the average Tumblr user doesn't care much about her. I bet the blogs she follows are among that group, and I bet she didn't encounter much hate against herself while finding them.
Hmm, thinking about it now, I wonder how many Tumblr blogs are into social justice. It'll probably be a good percentage, but I bet it'll be balanced out by fandom blogs with no interest into SJ, along with the kind of image blogs Katy Perry follows, and the such. Vocal Minority, you know? But I feel safe about saying that Tumblr has the largest demographic of SJW of any social network, at least compared to userbase size.

i'm not nearly as active as i used to be for various personal reasons, but i do check in from time to time.
God, this gamer controversy regarding Zoe Quinn is pissing me off so fucking much. If you ever have any doubts about the integrity of games journalism, you're a misogynist neckbeard. If you think that harassment is real and deserves to be addressed, you're an SJW white knight.
There's no fucking middle ground anymore. Everything's been polarized into extremes to the point where nothing productive comes out of the issue.
Not the start, no, but it certainly seems to be the ultimate culmination of it.
And then some other woman will start getting harassed and it'll start all over again.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I absolutely refuse to touch this one with a ten-foot pole. At least with Ferguson I know where I stand once I have the facts. With this...I'm honestly not sure what the reliable sources are.
How about this: don't make death or rape threats. That's bad.
Oh God! Natural light!I mean, the concept of privilege has been in academic studies for ages now. The ideas of representation, marginalization and oppression has been in literary theory and criticism since at least the 80s.
Not quite what I'm talking about, but okay.
Can someone please explain the whole Zoe Quinn fiasco? I'm a little out of the loop and it seems like I get an entirely different story depending on who I ask.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.I don't think so. Any attempt to explain it will just lead to a fight.
Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the GreatYeesh. What a mess.
Thanks, though, that helped a lot.
