... -_^
Men are Generic, Women are Pretty?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableHm, I suppose I may post a selfie for the Latino day.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.So, what if someone is biracial? O_o
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.Obviously you get to post selfies twice!
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI hate to think of the amount of time this guy will have to spent taking & posting selfies.
It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane.I said "get to", not "have to". -_^ I don't plan to participate at all.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableSee, this is why we can't have nice things.
What is? That people are complaining it has a potential to go wrong or that it could be hijacked by trolls?

And now I've seen some posts (from people I respect) rejecting the Selfie Week idea because they say it devalues Blackout (although the way it was worded ticked me off a little bit, since it seemed to be specifically against the idea of white people reblogging selfies). So I may not after all. Or maybe I will but won't tag it anything.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Also, the person who came up with it came up with it to sneak #whiteout in there and is vehemently anti-feminist and denies the existence of non-binary people.
Why I a am not surprised?
Personally, I have no opinion whatsoever on either #blackout or the selfie week overall. I don't have an opinion whether #whiteout should be a thing or not, in this context. But I do often feel the people who tend to take these opportunities to "promote" white people and/or cismale to be kinda unsavory. It kinda feel the guys who complain the international Men day doesn't have as much attention to the international women day.
(which reminds me that today, March 8, really should be about women selfies, since they are apparently going to do that latter in the week)

I'd judge it on its own merits. The anti-feminist people I've seen on Tumblr have a range of pleasantness.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.The denying of nb folks is still pretty shitty.
Read my stories!Given that I have a pretty low opinion of selfies as is, I think the idea of an entire week dedicated to them is a really, really bad one.
The internet is doing a bad enough job creating a self-centered narcissistic society as it is, last thing we need is an entire week dedicated to what's arguably the signature "achievement" of the whole thing.
So what do you refer to the pre-internet times, where people would spend copious amounts of money for portraits?
Read my stories! The dumbest defense of #whiteout I've seen is that there are white people in other countries who are discriminated against for being white. That would be fine in theory, except:
1) Most Tumblr users live in predominantly white countries.
2) The ones that aren't are not likely to speak English and know what is happening.

What annoys me about the whole blackout thing is that one day I opened up Tumblr looking for funny cartoons or cute pictures of cats and instead I get a veritable flood of black nudes clogging up my feed. I understand the need for taking pride in a race, but I don't want to look at semi-nude males regardless of their race or ethnicity.
Also, I think the name of the movement is quite amusing.
H.B. WardYou can just use Tumblr savior to block the tag.
What's unsavory about teaching men to value their bodies? Remember, it's just as hard to be Ken as it is to be Barbie.
I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.I'd provide a potential answer, except it would probably take us way off-topic again in a the kind of direction that's tended to threaten the continued existence of this thread.
The basic problem is that you really can't have anything positive on tumblr without someone making it negative.
5 minutes in someone's gonna turn female body positivity into 'boys are ugly' or vice versa.
That's why I didn't do anything for Holi which was a few days ago.
Nudes who are you following? most of the selfies on my dash had all their clothes on, but I have unfollowed people for too many nudes or any porn at all (um especially primarily focusing on females which is probably semi hypocritical in a well if I'm attracted way)
I think the whole "selfies are narsasistic" attitude is dumb. Taking a picture of yourself and sharing it just means you're confident in how you look and that's a good thing. Just because you're confident in you're appearance doesn't mean you care less about other people.
That being said, yeah, selfe week is just a transparent "what about the white people?"
Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova Scotian
So after #blackout now it's expanded into selfie week. Details below.
'March 6th- Blacks post your selfies and tag it #blackout
March 7th- Asians post your selfies and tag it #asianselfieday
March 8th- Latinas and Latinos post your selfies and tag it #Latinselfieday
March 9th- Middle Easterners post your selfies and tag it #easternselfieday
March 10th- White post your selfies and tag it #whiteout
March 11th- ALL women cis or trans post your selfies and tag it #femalebeauty
March 12th- ALL men cis or trans post your selfies and tag them #malepositive
March 13th- LGBT+ community post your selfies and tag it #LGB Tprideselfie
March 14th- Native Americans post your selfies and tag it #nativeselfieday
And after Selfie Week is over, on March 15, everyone post your selfies and tag it #weareallhuman and we will celebrate everyone together. We will all learn to appreciate the beauty of all our fellow humans, male or female, cis or trans, gay or straight, white, black, Asian, middle eastern, native American, or anything in between.'
There is ZERO chance this end well. I however plan on hanging back and watching the fireworks. I'd advise you to do the same.
