This thread is for quick questions. A "quick question" is a question which has a relatively quick, generally factual answer; a question which is not likely to inspire an extended discussion.
e.g.
Quick Question: How tall is an average ten-year-old boy?
Not a Quick Question: Why are Americans obsessed with guns?
Quick Question: Why is ALS sometimes called Lou Gehrig's Disease? Who was Lou Gehrig?
Not a Quick Question: In Alan Dean Foster's Thranx Commonwealth series, is Pip a Mary Sue?
Get the idea?

Long story involving orange juice, a light car accident and an epic pool party.
Sweet, I appreciate the find man.
Oh really when?MangaSearcherPro is also pretty good.

Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! Are there any examples of famous people who were born simultaneously blind, deaf, and (either by cause-and-effect extension of the latternote or by a separate cause) mute, rather than being born blind or deaf and acquiring the other disability sometime later? The Other Wiki's list of examples (or at least, the most famous ones, like Laura Bridgman and Helen Keller) seems to be only about the latter case.
Sounds like a very interesting story.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. Is there a way to change Windows's default behavior of mass-opening multiple mp3 files in Windows Media Player? I've changed the file association for a single mp3 file but opening them en masse still causes WMP to get them.
Answer: http://windowssecrets.com/forums/showthread.php/138646-Can-t-open-more-than-15-files , http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2022295
Create the registry value to do so, if necessary, and set it a high value.
It is by design that Windows does not allow opening of a large number of files at once. The above is the procedure for overriding this design.
Why is the chief public health officer in the United States and several other countries (mostly Commonwealth nations) called a "Surgeon General"? Why "surgeon"?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Because the office originated when the military started having doctor teams, and surgery is kind of a main job there.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI thought it was more because doctoring in general used to be primarily surgery.
Fresh-eyed movie blogWould you spend US$113 to get six CD albums from your favorite musicians?
Assume the following:
- the CDs are official (not pirated) and come with all supplementary material CDs normally come with (e.g. booklet, labels, jewel case)
- you already know what music is on there, and you know you like the music. Additionally, two of the albums are your favorite albums.
- these CDs are used.
- they are not easy to come by due to being imports. the price given is the current lowest price for buying them on Amazon.
- shipping is included in the given amount.
- the CDs contain, 16, 14, 11, 15, 11, and 10 tracks, each.

Oh really when?If I had the money, fuck yeah
...it's kinda more than I usually spend on music, but with all those factors...yeah, I would. Especially if that was freight and toll included.

Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia! If "killed in action" is defined in official military usage as the soldier being killed due to action by hostile forces, then does that include cases where the soldier pulls a Heroic Sacrifice to allow an all-important military objective to be achieved — e.g. they need to blow a bridge to prevent an incoming tank column from ambushing the main force that is preparing for a big clash with a different force, but the C4 charges that they have must be triggered manually because the remote/timed detonators were lost/damaged? If not, then what would be the appropiate term?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yep, That's covered under KIA.
I like charts! They're useful and easy to read! These albums are only available on CD, and yes, that includes shipping. (It's $4 shipping for each item.)
If I really really liked that music, I probably would.
Are there laws prohibiting deceased individuals from running for political office?
Given the instances of this happening and the fact that I've never heard of any law banning them, I would say that for the US it's "no".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBear in mind they can't actually take the office. In the event a serious election is won by a dead person, it's common for an emergency special election to be set up shortly after to determine a new - living - winner.
I wonder how they would deal with the ghosts of dead people running for an election, then. Assuming that they aren't Invisible to Normals, they can actually take the office, but are still technically dead.
... Hey, Matues didn't say that he's strictly talking about real life!

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Double-posting because I got hit with an odd question.
In the case where someone below the legal age of consent (whatever it is; in the US, it ranges between 16 and 18) is caught having seduced and engaged in actual sex with an adult on their own initiative (or even raped the adult in questionnote ), does the minor in question get punished in any way, and if so, how? And what if said minor keeps being a repeat offender, despite knowing that it's illegal?

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I am guessing that a minor-who-is-a-rapist will be treated like a rapist, depending upon what that means in the jurisdiction in question.
Don't know for sure on the adult, though.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think if the crime is heinous enough and if you're close to the age you will get tried and sentenced as an adult.
Oh really when?Minors capable of doing that are probably contenders for being tried as an adult.

Looks like Manga Rock is highly recommended.
I don't see a way to sideload files, but it pulls from over 20 sources, so you shouldn't lack for content.
