Ah. Well "Rip and tear" is said in the very beginning, but other than that no.
Well, be sure to repost it here if you see that some youtuber finally got around to it.
HERE COMES THE NIGHT TRAIN!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I do it whenever I get the berserk upgrade.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. As I walk knee deep in blood, I know what must be done.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Dig the prowess! The capacity for violence!
So I know this is basically Mook Horror Show: The Game, but are there any moments that reach Cry for the Devil levels of sympathy for these poor hellspawn abominations?
I gotta admit that I felt a tinge of sorrow when I saw footage of the Spider Mastermind pathetically resigning to her death just before Doomguy RIPANDTEAR'd her the fuck up.
Well, ol' Livvy did have a pretty bad day, after all. First she learns that she went through the whole chore of organising a big genocide, only for her reward to be getting turned into Krang's grandmother, which does bugger all to help her scoliosis, but renders her completly unfuckable. And then that armoured guy shows up and kicks her ugly mug in, rather than giving her a loving hug. Of course she just wanted it to be over in the end.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. What do you guys think about the soundtrack to the newer game? Personally I like the original's tracks better, but I want to know how you guys feel.
I think it befits the style of the game quite well, but as I said a few pages earlier, I'd prefer something more rancid.
Fear the cinnamon sugar swirl. By the Gods, fear it, Laurence. So after about 30 attempts at the in-flight mobility rune I finally beat it. And then got stuck in an infinite loading loop. fml
Is using "Julian Assange is a Hillary butt plug" an acceptable signature quote?NeoGAF is utterly in love with it. I thought it was merely okay; not much of it really stuck with me while playing it. Really, only "BFG Division" comes to mind when I have to think of music original to it. It fit the mood of the game, but to me that just makes a game's soundtrack perfunctory, not greatest-of-all-time or anything; that'd take a bit more.
Moon◊I'm still hoping for a modern remake of Lobotomy's Powerslave. With this as the title track.
Might makes light! and I'm feeling mighty!
"I could eat a knob at night" - Karl PilkingtonI enjoyed the soundtrack myself, but it's still worth noting that the main reason people loved it is because there is a lot of dynamics going for it. It's there to compliment the game rather than being something that would pop up in your head. And to me there is nothing wong with that. In those aspects, I can see why it got a lot of love, which to me is deserved for the most part.

Thread renamed per request.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanWasn't too too big on the soundtrack, mostly because I'm not much of a Djent/Industrial Metal fan. Most of the songs sound the same, but I do appreciate that a good chunk of them are from previous game soundtracks. I prefer Gordon's work in Killer Instinct personally.
Finally got my hands on new Doom, and it's great for stress relief after a hard work's day. Reached the foundry so far. Large, sprawling, cool-looking area with molten metal everywhere that keeps you on your toes, but it's a bit hard to navigate in. I think I backtracked there a couple of times. Hell knights are fun to fight, though.
EDIT: I also got an interesting glitch when trying to take the ardent energy upgrade. When the consuming animation started, I noticed limbs not belonging to the Doom Slayer fluttering on my screen. Turned out a Hell Knight teleported in behind my back exactly the same moment I started using the upgrade. I imagine how it looked from the outside perspective: the HK waving his arms at the Doom Slayer in impotent fury, as he was casually consuming the energy block with a bored look, thinking "Yeah, yeah, I'll deal with you just about now".

Spiral out, keep going.Got Doom 16 on the Switch. I upgraded the pistol, and I think that was a mistake.
Also more partial to the shotgun's explosive shot than its triple shot.
Any other tactics I should know about?
Double post. Switch version got updated. I wonder what changed?
Added Gyro support is the big one it seems.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Never gave two craps about gyro controls. I wonder which bugs have been fixed?
Also, here's hoping to Snapmap on Switch. Maybe optional DLC?
Eternal you say?
I meant more like a full performance of all the narrative bits, complete with voice acting.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
