I keep saying I'm going to post regularly, then I post like mad for a day or two and then I post like once a day, then I lurk for a while, then I post a 8unch again.
Whee unpredicta8ility.
Stupid doomed timeline...b-but...! ;-;
@oz: that is still a far higher rate of posting than i got
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOINova: Hahahahahaha yes, yes they could. Very easily.
Hee.
TVT does need more mods though. At least part of why the team doubtlessly has issues is because nobody really has time to go and check out issues like they should be doing, so a lot of, let's say, nuance that might actually be important gets lost in the process. Or because there are so few mods they're a tighter-knit group and are more reluctant to keep in check the actions of someone they've worked closely with for so long if another mod is doing something they shouldn't be. And part of it's because I feel like they don't care, but the point stands — investigation is sometimes needed and there just aren't people around to do that so they rely on hollers and reports isntead.
That's my two cents on it, anyway.
That. I feel like this place leaves a lot to be desired sometimes but it's nowhere close to having the worst authority figures I've had to put up with.

anyone like borderline earrape
Ever tried The Backwards Music Station? It's nice.
Or UVB-76, for the matter?
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.no one knows bad mods until they start posting on 4chan and see someone get banned forever for saying "if my post number ends in 33, i get banned"
Also SA's moderation where you can buy an unban.
the fact that SA makes you pay for an account is fucking donkers
and their ss13 engine is dumb too
i stopped posting on hh a while ago i should get back there sometime
also i was a mod for this really small forum once but nothing ever really happened there
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks apartI'm an admin on WAAPT's forum and admin/webmaster on its wiki. Pretty much this just means I nuke spambot accounts, put in cooldown bans if someone's vandalizing over drama (only once or twice I've had to do this), and manage the MediaWiki installation with updates, extensions, troubleshooting, and generating sitelogs for search engines.
I have been an admin on a forum that died and I think had less than ten people anyway.
I was a mod on another forum once but people used the chat more than the forum and I don't think I was a mod in the chat.
And I don't think I did much with my powers on either one.
Stupid doomed timeline...I didn't even Vriskafy that, what the hell.
Stupid doomed timeline...same
i think i mostly want to see what happens when this whole place breaks aparttoday, i learned why i should never mess with mods on games with uplay

dead devotionSpeaking of modding, it's pretty easy when it's a small database, like a forum with about 40-70 members, but when you try it on a big Wikia site, you're bound to get headaches from people who just won't adhere to rules. They even offend other mods intentionally.
I gave one such user a permaban because he not only called me a "faggot" after I explained why another mod issued him a suspension on editing, but insulted the site's creator. In a public blog post. Which Crosses the Line Twice.

dead devotionAND HE SAID "LOOK AT ME MA! I CAN DO ANYTHING" AND JUMPED FROM THE ROOF, BACK WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER. "I AM GOING TO BE A STUNTMAN!"
THE JOKE WAS HE DIED OF CANCER BEFORE HE COULD DO THAT, ISN'T THAT HILARIOUS?
I've never adequately conveyed how much I hated college.
It was hard, unrewarding, time-consuuming, way too expensive, agonizingly stressful, and cripplingly lonely. I was either bored stiff or anxious to pieces and I felt like I never belonged. When it was over it almost felt like I had never gone and I had lost four long years of my life.
..but, just maybe, it will eventually have been worth it...

I am unemployed and not 100% certain I'd be any more employed if I wasn't in college. :/
All I know is I remember hearing nobody'll so much as look at you for a job unless you have a bachelor's.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyOh, there's places that'll look at you. It'll be minimum wage shit-tier jobs, but it's something. Also Amazon Fulfillment, but that's more tedious and unstable employment.
