Oh, there's definitely places in America where the outfit would be considered scandalous and I'm sure we're in one of those, but that's not the issue. The issue is that where some might see "shameless hussy who should be burned", others would just see "healthy respect for her own body image". Our hero is in the former category and it makes it harder to take her other criticisms seriously when she begins her rant by slut-shaming Sara-Nicole.
Between the slut-shaming and, "She joined the same class as me JUST TO SPITE ME," she's clearly blowing things out of proportion which is why I'd like to hear Sara-Nicole's perspective on Heather's accusations of physical violence.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.She kind of has a double standard going on too
She was perfectly okay with Super MILF
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI think it's more her being a bit childish about the title and not liking her than any sort of proper stance against ladies showing skin.
Oh really when? The line about Sara-Nicole being a hussy and the festival being "family friendly" honestly sounds like she's quoting her mother. There might be a bit of "I have to wear this fucking sweater everywhere now" thrown in there too.
And the issue with the fat suit is addressed. Feels almost meta. I was so certain only people out of universe thought it made her look pregnant.
Writer, or something. And... a button? 🖲️It definitely gives her the body type I normally associate with pregnancy - super fat stomach, normal-sized limbs. Of course, asking a woman whether she's pregnant is almost never a good idea regardless ... but little kids haven't learned that yet
And that's exactly why Sahira suggested that she wear baggier clothes: It would mask this discrepancy and make her body look big all over rather than just her midsection.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Well that's certainly interesting.
She is some stage of Ted but I'm not sure which.
An episode of Buffy revolved around this guy, Ted. He started dating Buffy's divorcee mom and was, like, the perfect guy who everyone loved except Buffy. Eventually she figured out that his super-special cooking that everyone thought was just the best was actually laced with mind-control substances.
So she had her friends investigate and there was no mind control substances and they were just really delicious pastries.
BUT THEN it turned out he was an evil robot who abducts women, so she was totally right about him being evil but completely off her mark about how or why.
There's a lot of Fantastic Metaphors thrown in the middle of it about dangerous men who behave differently in private than in public but the point is, Sara Nicole is one of these three steps and I'm not entirely sure which. She is either:
- Totally using mind control pastries to get her crown back.
- Totally benign and any assumptions about her pastries being mind control are just needless hostility.
- Totally sinister in some other, completely unrelated way to her delicious Red Herring-flavored pastry treats.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhy not?
= Spindriver =So is Sara the bad guy or not? :S
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Usually don't spoiler-tag, but okay, I guess.
The emphasis of "let bygones be bygones" particularly caught me. Either Krakow forgot he used that twice, it's a subtle hint of some brainwashing shit, or it's part of the Red Herring.
I spoiler-tagged because I was speculating in the same post as the link and didn't want people to see the speculation before seeing the page that prompted it. It was a courtesy tag.

Up to about Issue 15, the characters generally had more... shall we say, defined figures, especially Sahira and Spinnerette. The latter doesn't even really have GIRL ABS anymore? What is your opinion on the Art Evolution?
¿?¡!Re: Buffy the Vampire Slayer S2E11 "Ted", Buffy actually didn't suspect anything about the cookies. It was her friends who discovered by accident that they were laced with drugs. But I guess the point stands.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Depending on the Artist is in full play. The original artist isn't drawing the current strips.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Wait, then who was it where they investigated the suspicious food and found it was totally benign and not at all filled with evil mind control chemicals?
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm going to be terribly disappointed if this ends with Heather definitively proving that Sara-Nicole is an evil uber-bitch using mind control or blackmail or whatever to reclaim her Pumpkin throne.
Like, at least when the universe contorted itself to vindicate Buffy's moments of unreasonable antagonism, it sorta made sense. They established early in the series that she can kinda sense evil. It's part of her powerset, which reserved the right for episodes where her needless antagonism towards someone for seemingly petty reasons turns out to be Properly Paranoid.
Heather doesn't have built-in evilsense. She just hates Sara Nicole for petty and unpleasantly slut-shamey reasons. I desperately don't want, "She SHOWED HER MIDRIFF, that wicked whore!" to be depicted as the proper sentiment.

That's not Heather's reasons. It's why Heather ever had the queen sash, but it's been executed by guys running the contest.
"I won only because my enemy got disqualified arbitrarily" is part of Heather's sour attitude, not the midriff.
"She ABUSED her position by appearing on a billboard for a drive-in! It was SALACIOUS! She had her SHIRT TIED UP, you could see her BELLY BUTTON and EVERYTHING!"
That is not Heather saying, "I'm bitter because I only won the title after Sara-Nicole was unfairly disqualified by a sexist review board for stupid reasons." That is Heather saying, "I won because that cheap hussy let people see her slut-whore stomach!"
My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.Here's hoping Sahira does something cool.
The sad, REAL American dichotomy...
Sahira is married. Is Sahira married?

It's not just that she appeared on a billboard, I think. Look at her outfit on that billboard ad; it could easily count as scandalous by the standards of more conservative communities in the USA. Where is this current issue taking place again?
