@Dr Dougsh: This sequel will of course feature further appearances from Jinora, Queen of The Fairies, yes?

EDIT: So, how about that page topper?

Indeed. Her and her sometimes spurned lover, Kai, King of the Centaurs. The film will have them secretly backing separate factions behind the scenes for their own amusement. They play with the feelings of the mortal characters, causing Amon to fall in love with Hou-Ting, Kuvira to break up with Junior and get engaged to Hundun, while Hundun only has eyes for Wu.

While this recap episode wasn't quite as entertaining as Ember Island Players, I still have to give it points for being hilarious and entertaining nonetheless.

I think she'd actually do really well in a musical. She could certainly do the dancing. Dunno how her singing voice is though.

I'm not sure who'd be worthy of the part of Kuvira Koopatroopa in that case. Though I imagine Gommu or Hasook could snag the role of Baatar Jr.

[up] If you're trying to make the film bomb on purpose, don't cast Zhu Li. She might actually turn in a decent performance.

Who could turn in an impressively awful performance as Kuvira Culpacup? I think Eska would be a tad too convincing in the role? Maybe casting Desna would do it? Or maybe just go the classic route and cast Ginger? Or Buttercup Raiko?

I don't know, her good performance could save it from becoming too shitty.

In The Producers, Springtime For Hitler became a resounding success; the production values of the play were SO TERRIBLE that a performance guaranteed to failure by glorifying Hitler and the Holocaust wound up being a hilarious and delightful satire that portrayed the Germans as incompetent boobs and made Hitler himself flamboyantly gay. The titular producers' plan to swindle money from the movie without the IRS noticing because the IRS don't bother auditing failures backfired when the play was a surprise hit.

Really, if you want a performance to fail, you have to strike just the right middle-ground where it's not worth going to see on its own merits, but also not so awful that it becomes entertaining.

Max Bialystock didn't think of that. I imagine Avatarverse's con men wouldn't either.

Maybe they'd hire Ryu's mom? I think if I were a short-sighted ponzi schemer, that's the one I'd go with.

See, now I'm reminded of those Nazi propaganda films in which the main actress was secretly Jewish and playing a Jewish character. She ended up turning in a performance that ended up endearing people to her character in the films, which was not at all the films' intention.

Insert witty 'n clever quip here.

I'm pretty sure "Do the thing" was a phrase that existed in relative widespread use before this show. It's just been now irrevocably tied to this show now.

It is sad, but I don't think it'll be the last we see of this series. If Popeye The Sailor Man can get a new film then I have no doubt another Avatar will crop up eventually.

Is not impressed.
