"I'm Me" is a good song but it reminds me about the Mary Sue trope a bit too much for my liking

"Busted" and "Squirrels in my pants" are nice

Blergh. The rest of season 2 is airing now... in Spanish. Three years I took Spanish in high school, and we never got to anything conversational.

I think the English airdates are in February.

Ok...4 pages and NOBODY brings up the fact that there are no less than 3 Rocky Horror Picture Show alumni in recurring/one-off roles, with Richard O'Brian playing Ferb's dad?

Also, and more to the point, it actually manages to have little touches that add depth. Think about this for a second....only Phineas and Candace share any blood relation, Ferb is thier step-brother. Both Candace and Phineas have thier mother's surname (Flynn) while Ferb kept his Father's surname (Fletcher). This knowledge changes NOTHING about the character's motivations or relationships and exists only as I mentioned earlier as character depth. They actually have a "Blended" family that gets along better than most TV Nuclear families, but it's not the focus of the show.

Yup as Stubbings, the Butler in the episode "A Hard Day's Knight" which also had Malcom Mc Dowell as Ferb's Grandfather

"Candace's Big Day" was a bit weaker than normal, apart from the elevator scene.

"Just Passing Through" was enjoyable though. The song:

Wait...if they 'scrambled their molecules' and were able to pass through things, wouldn't they just plummet through the ground? Yes I stole that from the intangibility trope.
I love the show. Its music, its dialogue, its characters, very much win.

My brother, sister and I (aged 16, 16 and 18) all got really excited about watching the Christmas special, which my dad proceeded to mock us for and my mom got a worried expression. We tried to explain but they refused to see. Alas, I fear they may forever be stuck in the Animation Age Ghetto.

Remember "Vancessessary Roughness?"

Show them the part where Perry steps out of the dressing room. You know what I mean.

or better yet, Bobby Fabulous.

@Word Casters: What you do is, you just lock them in the room/make sure they pay attention. That's how I got mom into Avatar!

I've been thinking of trying that with my dad and Avatar (that name is still tripping me up stupid James Cameron) but I'm just not sure it's worth the effort it would take for Phineas and Ferb. The value in getting him to watch Avatar would be the character discussions and such that would come with it and I think my dad would have some good ideas. The value of Phineas and Ferb on the other hand is all in the initial enjoyment value. It is more fun when you have other people to watch it with but I have my brother and sister for that. In short, I would get nothing out of convincing them that Phineas and Ferb is worth watching and I'm not going to put in that much work not to get anything out of it. If my parents won't accept it's beauty on their own it's their loss. I'm just glad my siblings are more open minded.

Stupid Phineas And Ferb and their giving me a reason to not lose hope in Disney Channel...

Stupid Phineas And Ferb and their making me laugh out loud multiple times when they lampshade stuff...

Stupid Phineas And Ferb and their need to actually use clever jokes and continuity nods and get crap past the radar...

OK, besides Phineas and Ferb, who has not met Doofenshmirtz by this point? Even Jeremy runs into him...

According to Wikipedia there's gonna be DCOM where Phineas and Ferb find out about Perry being a Secret Agent. Linky: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phineas_and_Ferb:_Across_the_Second_Dimension

P&F finally discovering that Perry's an agent? An alternate universe competent Dr. Doofenshmirtz? Sounds too good to be true! grin

Newer episodes have been great, especially The Lizard Whisperer with Dr. D:s guitar lessons, crazy plan and Ferb's speech, and The Beak with poor Dr. D finally getting to be in charge of Danville! I wonder if Steve is going to appear again - Linda did allow them to keep him after all...
