A friend aksed me to help her completely wipe her hard drive because she uas abvirus that keeps her from even running an antivirus, so I'm trying to boot her Windows reinstall disk but every time I try it just freezes.

Garcon: If you have the 4+ hours to install it, you should just get the installer from Windows' website. I did it and hopey was right—it just allows you to install it immediately instead of waiting, no strings attached.

Dadders, the Install Media Tool on the website actually can virtualise on your PC. It basically pushes you to the front of the queue.
Also, you can check whether you're 32-bit or 64-bit by working out how much RAM you have. If you have 1-3 GB, then it's 32-bit. If you have 4+ GB, then it's 64-bit. You can solidly check this by going to My Computer, and looking for System, or right clicking the window and looking for that option.
But if that makes you feel unsure, then you just wait until it rolls out naturally. That should take max until early-September.

If I ever get a time machine, I will go back and find whomever made that "lion sleeps tonight" song and beat them with their own spine. Always have hated that fucking song, and now there's a commercial that plays it.

I've hated that song since the late 90's. Even as a child the song filled me with seething rage and unbridled fury.
The rightful songwriter didn't get credit or royalties for years.
