Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I didn't even know it was a thing until about ten years ago.
simple asYou Tube added a button that plays a snippet of Darude Sandstorm. Ascended Meme much?
Also, April Fools is the only day ever I am happy I'm an only child.
April Fools on the internet is always kinda of weird for me. What with the living on the edge of tomorrow (sometimes in tomorrow). I don't see most of the stuff until I check in the morning of April 2nd.
You must agree, my plan is sheer elegance in its simplicity! My TumblrSo you know how most fantasy settings typically have humans as, like the main "point of view" race? Like, humans are in charge of The Empire, the main character is typically a human, and while there may be, like, a dwarven or elven kingdom they're always presented as "other" to the main human empire- or even subservient to them.
Well what if there was a setting where that role went to, like, halflings? Or even better orcs! I think that'd be pretty interesting. Like, you get to the big central city and it's just orcs everywhere. The king is an orc, the knightly order are all orcs, the beautiful princess is an orc...
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I dunno, Dragon Age and Skyrim have given me a very deep hatred for elves. I'd be the worst elf ever on purpose.
Orcs aren't much better because those selfish fuckers won't let me take the ebony out of their mine.

Oh really when?Become friends with the orcs and maybe they'll be generous.
Well what about my first suggestion, halflings? Orcs typically have some sort of structure with someone at the top, but halflings? They usually just do whatever the fuck they want, no gods, no masters, only seven breakfasts.
Now imagine if instead they were in charge of an empire. That'd be pretty rad.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."With that kind of culture why would they have an empire in the first place?
Hmm, no I'd rather be the humans and invade their kingdom for their breakfasts.
Oh really when? They wouldn't have that kind of culture, is the thing. They'd have the culture that's typically reserved for humans.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Oh. Whoops, misunderstood you.
It'd be interesting, but it'd need a little something extra to make it unique.
Watching the Penguins Of Madagascar movie.
I love the action scenes. They're so...kung-fu-y.
Yeah well I spent my weekend mostly drunk and half undressed watching Doogie Howser with my cat.
So yeah, that's my life now.

Oh really when?That's your weekend?
That's my life.
Pocoyo is a dense - and mentally-deficient - individual. He doesn't know how to use a fucking broom.
Me either actually. Been faking it in every job I had.
Oh really when?POCOYO
NO
THAT IS NOT HOW YOU USE A FUCKING BROOM
POCOYO YOU'RE A TOTAL BRAIN-DEAD
You mean Lord Of The Rings? 'Cause that's basically Lord Of The Rings.
"We're home, Chewie."Wait, really? But Hobbits live in the Shire. I don't remember them ruling over any kingdoms.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Ohhh, no, not with the kingdom-ruling, sorry. I meant with the being-the-mundane-default-society. They're the sort of simple country folk from which most human farmboy heroes-to-be come from.
"We're home, Chewie."Oh, yeah, that's true. Plus, Bilbo and Frodo are definitely the heroes even if everyone likes Aragorn and Legolas more, so there's that.
I'm just thinking, like, you know how lots of stories have a king figure who's all wise and give the heroes their quest? What if he was three feet tall. I want that.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."So you want King Yoda.
I can get behind this idea. That is a man (alien...goblin...thing) that I would trust in a position of power. Well not "trust" so much as "have nebulous, cautious faith in."
"We're home, Chewie."Convinced someone from my class to watch Flora's Letter. Ah yes.
"Guess what, you don't have a test today!"
"APRIL FOOLS"
Like...really.
