Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I'm having so much trouble with giving my main character an interesting personality. Right now, he's just introverted. Nothing else.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerGive him a deep, philosophical love for pie.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!Make stuff up. Does he act introverted or not? Does he like to try new things, or stick with what he's familiar with? Does he wax philosophical, or take things at face value? If you can't decide, flip a coin.
Changing details that are already there tends to be easier than staring at a blank sheet wondering what should be on it.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...Yep, he acts it. Which drives the plot of the story, because he's the king of a war-torn continent, which is not an ideal position for someone of his age and personality type.
He's generally averse to change and tries to accept whatever's thrown at him, though ultimately failing. My biggest problem with him, though, is that he likes to be alone... which wound up being so much of a personality tumor that it makes him seem like a Dirty Coward whenever he has official business to tend to. Either that, or a brooding emo. Both would be bad.
I know you're joking, but I'm going to try to work with that.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI really wish it was easier to see plays and musicals that are no longer actively performed (or even ones that are). I'm sure there'd be a decent amount of money to be made by simply recording the opening night, or any night, and releasing it on DVD.

I found a British Name generator, entered my real name and was dubbed Margaret Thatcher.
Looking for some stories?Like an American name generator, but without 'Hank', 'Waldo' or 'Elmer'?
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I have never met a single American named "Waldo" or "Elmer."
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Nor have I, but I've never met a Norwegian named Sven, either, but I know they're out there...
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'@Mort: That's funny. Where did you find that name generator?
Blog link... So apparently I'm Chelsea.
... When did I turn into an area of London known for being smugly rich?
"Did you expect somebody else?"I am apparently Quentin Garside.
... I like it.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Hello, Quentin, I'm Blocked By Websense, how do you do?
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'I am apparently Lidmann Grimbold.
Huh... Not sure what to think about that.
That sounds...German? Ish?
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'Wait maybe I got the wrong one.
We talking about the Anglo Saxon or the Celtic generators?
Wait, wait, didn't notice the one you were talking about.
Silly me.

Yeah, it was the Very British Name Generator.
I became Rupert Watson. I don't know about you, but to me it sounds like Harry Potter actor shipping.
