This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

how's about we use the summary on the back of the books? I am pretty sure I've seen that used on this wiki before. In any case, I believe that no summary would be better than the summary that is on there now, which is very misleading. http://www.squidoo.com/christopher_paolini_inheritance_cycle_eragon_eldest_brisingr

He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoSaid synopsis is almost certainly copyrighted, making reproducing it a Bad Idea.

[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.I am not that good at writing summaries, so I asked for help. (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20101219124828AAOcfpG) I would appreciate if anyone here can help me with this.

He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoLink fixed, though I don't know why you're expecting anything good from Yahoo Answers.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.do you have any advice where I might get a good summary?
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoWe write our own summaries, and tend not to draw on other sources.
Keep in mind you don't want it to be too long or give away too much of the plot; too many pages as is go overboard on this. One to two paragraphs is usually all it takes.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)that is odd, because I seem to recall reading the exact summary that is already on the page on another site a while ago. since it has been a while, I cant really remember which site it was, but I believe that it was from antishurtugal, which is not exactly the best source for an unbiased synopsis

He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoThey could have copied it from us (which is fine and legal), or the same person who wrote it here could frequent anti-shurtugal, or you could be imagining things.
[1] This facsimile operated in part by synAC.Either way, this summary should be changed as it blatently disregards quite a few things while trying to compare it to star wars. I think the page would be better off without a summary untill someone writes a more objective one. I would do it myself, but, as noted above, writing summaries is not exactly my specialty.

Wait, so a page is locked only because it has a hatedom That's not an excuse.
Yes it is. It's because the hatedom tends to become too visible on the page, to the point that such pages become "This is work X. It is bad. Here are tropes that demonstrate its badness."
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyEverything You Wanted To Know About Changing Titles. I'd like to see some reasons to rename added to the list, namely "switching to a ptitle from a non punctuated one" and "changing to a pre-existing term".
Fight smart, not fair.Chekovs Gun needs more curly braces.
@INUH Not it is not. Many pagess that are not locked have a hatedom. The edits of these pages may be close to Sturgeons Law, but those 10% of edits are worth it.

^Well, hatedoms are why many pages are locked. Whether you agree with me or not that they should be, that's why they are.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyThe picture on Seltzer And Friedberg really serves no purpose other than as a Take That!. Could somebody with modpower remove it?
Now Bloggier than ever before!Could someone please unlock The Great Comics Crash Of 1996? It was mostly one person editing it and I doubt there will be any problems. And someone just mentioned in the discussion that the comment about people being fooled by Superman's death should be changed since only non-fans would have been fooled. If you can't unlock it, how about this?:
"In particular, the 1992 Death of Superman storyline sparked a massive rise in comic book speculators due to its high level of mainstream publicity. Some non-fans actually believed he would stay dead, and the con alienated many."
I strongly think Tangled's IJMB page should be locked because there seems to be a war going on in there. I remember such a war in PrinceOfPersia's IJBM page which caused it to get locked, and because of this, the movie's main page got locked.
Should there be a rule aded that page can stay locked only 24 hours when no reason is given?
No, because the mods are responsible for locking pages, so they presumably know why they did so.
Infinite Tree: an experimental storyBut often they don't tell why they lock pages.
The locker widget thingy lets us specify a reason. We can read it even if it doesn't make it to Locked Pages. I promised to sync that up at one point and have yet to find the time to do so. If you see a locked page that doesn't have a reason on Locked Pages, let us know.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Why are Brother–Sister Incest and Maradonia Saga locked? The last on looks like Fast Eddie deleted a lot of negativity, but I just want to confirm it. Also, Your Mileage May Vary is listed as a trope on several of the locked pages. Please delete them.

I'm not arguing that it doesn't; I'm just explaining why.
