That is... very very stupid. Was it a Valve server?

I remember when I was called a hacker for getting the rare headshot on a rocket jumping soldier as Spy with amby

I was too happy on how I managed to pull that off to care that someone nearly got me banned from that server....

[up][up]One of the official servers. Not the first time I've been kicked for something inane. Apparently using the Pomson causes some people to lose their shit. "I'm sorry, what were you saying about that uber again?"

I'd just like to say that x10 Direct Hit is the best thing ever. Even for x10 its borderline Game Braking. [lol]

Got the IP of a x10 server?

I actually have an IP for a x10 stock map server, but since I'm at school, I don't have access to it.

sad

To be fair the Pomson is an incredibly annoying weapon for a variety of reasons. The uber drain isn't too big of a deal, the problem is that it makes you wonder, why? Engie is not a class that should be anti-Medic like that.

The big problem I recently saw with it is that it's a great retreat weapon. We had an obnoxious Engie that was going for the Total Douchebag Loadout of Gunslinger, Pomson, and Short Circuit behind us. Granted, it was mostly the Gunslinger and Pomson giving us trouble, because he would laydown mini-sentries in long areas to make us have to focus on them, meanwhile, he's running away, using Pomson blasts around corners to make it hard to approach. He eventually had a teleporter and dispenser up in an obscure place, too. It was very satisfying going Direct Hit Soldier to take care of his mini-sentries immediately, but trying to chase the guy as Medic wasn't fun.

I'm pretty sure the concept of Law having limits was a translation error. -Wanderlustwarrior

Ehhh I have not used the pomson for a while after the nerf

I hear the Wrangler is even more annoying for that loadout, but personally I think manually controlling your mini sentry kinda defeats the purpose of the aimbot, though admittedly it's the closest thing to an assault rifle you'll get in TF 2. Also, minis and the Frontier Justice just work together too damn well.

Heh, Pomson+Gunslinger is one of my faves. I stick to the pistol for killing/harassing certain players that manage to avoid the projectiles. What I like to do is use the Pomson to "herd" opponents into the sentries, be they my own or another player's. Laying down fire at a particular point can encourage them to take an alternate route, or start back-running and firing at me, which gives teammates the chance to kill them a bit easier. If you can pair up with a sniper, the free flaming arrows are another big plus that seem to be rather under-appreciated.

  • edit- On the pomson, one complaint I can agree with is that its hitbox is waaaaay too large. I can completely miss someone by several feet and still kill them.

One combo I find that I'm liking a lot is the Solemn Vow+ Blutsauger for the medic. Not overly useful again, but being allowed to see an enemy's health lets me sneak in the occasional kill.

Had one freak incident there where a turret on the final point in Badwater Basin flung me into some out-of-the-way point near the red spawn area. Was able to camp and kill a turret and a few engineers with my syringe gun before a solder rocketed me [lol]

Accidentally "sorted out" my inventory, changing it forever. Took over half an hour to get it back the way it was. It was long and painful.

Bah, nothing worse than tryhards getting in your way when you're trying to take down the Halloween boss. Chucking them down a bottomless pit is too good for them.

Had a good turn as Gunslinger Engie on Helltower to celebrate my acquisition of a Grease Monkey cosmetic.

Also went Demo to put my new Tide Turner to use. Didn't exactly get many target-to-target killstreak rampages, but did get a bash kill, so that was nice.

Did anyone else know that you can be Jarate'd when you're a ghost in Hell?

[up][up]Hide as a Cloak and Dagger Spy on the little platform over the pit. The enemy will try to jump over for the health, only to collide with you and fall into the pit.

Endless fun.

Another person for the hate-tryhards-who-don't-kill-halloween-bosses list.

On the other hand, I now have all the boss achievements for all the Halloween bosses (and the RNG granted me my favorite Haunted Scrap Metal skull) so I'm now just doing halloween maps for the gifts. And I'm never playing normal hightower again... not putting in the backtrack really makes that map work better.

Hightower is better than 2fort. Even at being 2fort.

Hightower is really fun for fucking around. Trolldier and Demokaze make their homes here. But really, any fuck-about loadout is good.

Every attempt I've made to get the haunted metal scrap had ended in me ragequitting. I swear the private servers are worse than the public ones, or at least the ones I tried. A mere millisecond before my hit connects with the boss (said hit would have been the killing blow) some jackass spy backstabs me. Spending the rest of the game pyro-hunting him was small comfort. . .

Hm, I wonder if I could just open up my dedicated server to farm Halloween achievements with my siblings. I mean, it works with the normal ones (as long as I remember to turn cheats off).

I'll have to try that later, as long as my anti-virus didn't delete the server again without telling me.

I often like to go to 2Fort and Hightower if I just want to goof off and not focus on the objective.
