Let's all moan at one another about how sucky we feel. It can't hurt worse than our sinuses already do!
I've got a runny/stuffy nose and a sore throat to match. I woke up this morning feeling unusually better about it than I had been, thinking, "Hey! Maybe it blew over already...!" Ha. As if. Being able to talk sure would be nice.

So I'm currently recovering from my first case of the winter vomiting bug.
New theme music also a box:( I'm terribly sorry to hear that.
I smell magic in the air. Or maybe barbecue.Welp, tested negative for mono. The nurse practitioner says it looks like just allergies, so that's a relief.
Somehow you know that the time is right.Runny nose, hoping it doesn't turn into a cold because my mock trial competition is this weekend.
I don’t even know anymore.Sick leave until the end of the week. I also slept for eleven hours today.

make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019I think I'm coming down with the flu. I feel utterly terrible.
I've had this bizarre feeling of pressure in my right side for the past couple of days, a bit lower than my ribs and above my pelvis. It doesn't really hurt but it's very noticeable. There's no visible changes that I can tell, but it still worries me, especially with the mono-like symptoms I've been having for the last month or so. Should I be worried?
Somehow you know that the time is right.I'm no expert, but that sounds like appendicitis.
Which is very bad.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseIt's worth a thought, but we'll need more information on the rest of your symptoms and how long you've been having them for. If it gets progressively more painful or if you start getting, say, a fever or nausea / vomiting / loss of appetite, head down to your doctor sooner.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.A little over a month ago I started having random bouts of fatigue, along with some swelling in the lymph nodes in my neck. No nausea or digestive issues. The nurse practitioner did a finger prick and tested for mono and it came up negative. He said it was probably allergies and prescribed fluticasone propionate (nasal spray stuff), which has mostly helped alleviate those symptoms. Like I said, this swelling just started a few days ago, maybe Saturday or Sunday. It tends to go down a bit when I change positions after being in one position for awhile, like if I go from sitting to standing. It's not really bothering me at the moment, and hasn't gotten any worse for an hour or so now, but it's still there. I'm going to try and make it through work tomorrow if it doesn't worsen, then go back to the clinic on Friday.
Somehow you know that the time is right.Ah. Appendicitis is less likely in this scenario (it's been a month, for one thing), but I can't say what it is for sure at this stage, even if there are a number of possibilities. (There are lymph nodes in the abdomen and groin too, and those can get swollen sometimes.) Your plan sounds reasonable. Good luck, and take care.

I am legally bound by my cast agreement not to get sick. So, of course, I get sick. Fatigue, stomach pain, I felt dizzy just a few minutes ago. I must be strong...
Update: It's a urinary tract infection. Thank dog it's not something worse. Apparently the mono-like symptoms I've been having for the past month are unrelated to the pressure in my kidney area. Hopefully the antibiotics the NP prescribed will help.
Somehow you know that the time is right....It's actually fairly rare for men to come down with urinary tract infections in the absence of anatomical / functional abnormalities. You may want to check with your doctor regarding further workup when you recover.
Not a substitute for a formal medical consultation.I'll probably go back to the clinic after work Monday if this hasn't cleared up significantly by then. The really bad pressure seems to have passed, but it also seems to be working its way slowly downwards. I sort of suspect a kidney stone, except there's no agonizing pain or (spoilered for body TMI) bloody/discolored urine.
Somehow you know that the time is right. After feeling sick for most of the past week now I start feeling majorly better only to break out in a weird case of hives.
Apparently my body doesn't like the chili on the Triple Threat Nachos at Buffalo Wild Wings. Woke up about 7 AM Saturday morning with a horrible aftertaste in my mouth, a really bad upset stomach, and the runs. This lasted for quite a few hours until store-brand Pepto-Bismol came to my rescue.
Considering I can eat most other forms of chili with no ill effects, and am so tolerant of spicy foods that I can drink hot sauce straight from the bottle, there must be something REALLY funky in that chili.
Well, now I got my mom's cold.
Wonderful.
what do you mean I didn't win, I ate more wet t-shirts than anyone elseI came through my surgery. It feels like somebody hit me with an 18-wheeler, but I made it through.
Yay!

What seems to be acid reflux and confirmed sinus problems.
Ouch.
