Did Gimple actually say he made the decision because of child watchers?
In an episode where Carl is nearly raped and Rick bites into a man's neck because of it?
I heard a lot of children watch the show.
DumboI know quite a few 10-12 year olds that watch, and I've been told by numerous people that they watch it "with the whole family." I have no idea why, but a lot of people seem totally okay with letting their kids see this.
"With hard work and dedication, I will become a splendid ninja!""Kids, I hope you learned an important lesson from this week's episode: If you do anything, ever, horrific things will happen to you."
Text I feel is necessary to append to every post.I've never understood the "graphic violence is fine but one f-bomb and you're in serious shit" thing, but this isn't a "complain about pet peeves" thread so I won't go farther on that.
Something to keep in consideration is that if advertisers don't like the show their ads are supposed to be airing during, they may well balk at buying ad time on the network, or restrict things to the point where it's arguably not worth the hassle for the network to run the ads in the first place.
That said, as I asked shortly after the finale aired, has Show!Rick ever used obscenities? I don't recall any, but my memory is seriously lacking at times. If I'm not forgetting something though, using "screwing" instead of "fucking" may be weaker (because swearing apparently improves things, or something) but it would be in-character for him.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpYes, he has used obscenities. Though the only time that springs to mind off the top of my head is when he parrots someone else who had just said "shit happens." So, to some that may not really count. Also, he does it right before slamming a knife into the guys head and darn near cutting it in two, so goes back to the whole profanity vs. violence thing. I think they would have been better of with no obscenity at all because "screwing" sounds like a word people usually use to avoid saying the f word and seems inauthentic given the situation. I doubt he would have been consciously watching his language and don't think it has been sufficiently established that he avoids cursing to the extent "screwing" would come naturally.
Also, how amazing/sad/frustrating would it be if Beth is never found by them? I think whoever took her is likely to be too big a plot point, not to mention to close by to avoid the group locating them. But still, that would be agonizing from a story telling standpoint.

Incredibly sad, and insanely frustrating. But not impossible for a world like that. It would be a gutsy move, but I can't see them doing it. Horrific fates can be handled ; no known fate will draw howls.
The Go-To For Accurate, Thorough Information about Elfen Lied : http://elfen-lied.wikia.com/wiki/Elfen_Lied_WikiI would be pissed if Beth turned out to be dead later on. Those last few episodes really endeared me to her and I'm sick of characters getting killed off just after they've gotten a day in the limelight.
Yeah. If they pull another Sophia with Beth I will flip shit.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Shame this wasn't made before Breaking Bad/Talking Bad ended. Maybe it'll be brought up on Talking Dead.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Oh man I loved this one!
Is not impressed.sorry, but walter have the fight from the star, rick line are just bland
so, walter was right, he already won
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"I laughed when Rick shouted: "CARL!"
Is not impressed.Same.
Yeah they... they got Rick's look and voice, but his lines were pathetic. He even insulted himself, what with, "while I finish this b'tch like you finished your mother". The theme of the battle is that Rick and Walter are these two messed-up protagonists, but that's a sore point for Rick. The only good lines Rick had were "Cooking up blue sky and bigger lies for Skylar," and, "You tore your family apart, sin by sin," both of which are sore points for Walt.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Looking like a good season. Fair warning, the trailer is a bit spoiler-y.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Can't spoil something not available in my country...no wonder my sister's asking me to find a place where she can watch that trailer. LOL
EDIT: Here's a non-discriminatory version (which I don't think will last 3 days)

I'm reading this because it's interesting. I think. Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot, over.Actually, they uploaded an international friendly version here:
http://foxinternationalchannels.com/shows/the-walking-dead
Better then that sped up youtube version. Why they insist on putting it up on its own site and blocking the youtube upload, who knows.
DumboSo from that trailer, it looks like Rick and company team up with the Terminus people. Shame. I was hoping Carol and Tyreese would sneak in, bust them out, and then Terminus would go down in a big gun fight.
"You're an enemy of art and I pity your ignorance" - Domingo Montoya Help save the rainforest for free simply by going to Ecosia.org.I'm guessing that Carol will show up to kick ass, fairly quickly, regardless of what the group does. Rick and company can join with the enemy, but things will soon go south. Knowing the show, Carol and Tyreese will try to pull a Big Damn Heroes, but it probably won't do much good. Actually, the more likely scenario is that they'll find Beth, before they locate the others.
This is a signature.I suspect the case is that some of the Termites actually want to get the hell out, but they can't leave without the others trying to kill them.

Better be about Morgan.
...
Better be post-apocalypse and not about how everyone was 'before'.
...
Better be about Shane getting Lori and Carl out of Atlanta.
...
...better call Saul.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).^ Going by what's mentioned in the linked article, it seems that they're covering others outside of the Atlanta group during the time setting of the show, so "what happened before the apocalypse", Morgan, and "Escape from Atlanta" are probably off the list of possibilities.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI kinda hope it's just a series of vignettes, like the game's 400 Days DLC.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Hmm. I'm not really up on ratings stuff, so how well do anthology series do currently? I know they've waxed and waned in the past.
I ask because I'm thinking that one possibility of how to handle this spin-off show is having each episode focus on a different person or group of people, kinda like The Twilight Zone but all the episodes within the overall framework of the TV TWD 'verse.

Well, it wasn't a precision F strike in the comics because they just dropped F bombs whenever they damn well pleased in there.
