Probably finally getting a chance to rock out with Wendy O. Williams again, too. The two were good friends and kindred spirits, and she was one of the last true rock-n-rollers herself.
If you haven't already seen it, one of Razorfist's most recent videos is an excellent look back at Motorhead's past, and a nice tribute to the man himself.
She/her/herself c:For anyone on the East Coast, make sure to catch Defeated Sanity on their current tour. They're not going to be returning to the US for quite a while after this one and they absolutely destroy live. Watching Lille Gruber play is an experience unto itself.
They'll be coming to Chattanooga, 100 or so miles south of here.
On a weeknight.
When I have to work the next day.
Somehow you know that the time is right.
So does anyone here miss Disembowelment? Don't worry, two of their members did too.
Amon Amarth announced a new album today, coming out on the 25th of March. AND a tour in which they, thank Odin, are coming to Michigan. Fuck yes!
Recently listened to Book of Sand's The Face of the Deep and I must say, it's one of the most interesting and enjoyable albums I've heard from last year. I'm also inclined to like anyone whose reaction to receiving a 0% on Metal Archives is pure delight.
I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Been checking out Star Gazer's older albums after having recently really gotten into A Merging to the Boundles. A really good example of technical death metal that's as instrumentally impressive as you'd expect but keeps things reined in and while there are jazz fusion and trad/thrash elements that come in, it remains structurally a focused, driven death metal releases.
Guys

DEMOLITION HAMMER IS HINTING AT A REUNION HOLY FUCK
I saw the picture on FB. Dunno what to think about this.
I was actually told by John Kevill about a month ago that he was contacted a while back about being their vocalist for a reunion because Steve didn't want to do it at the time. He told me that he declined because he didn't want anyone other than Steve doing vocals for Demolition Hammer. Wouldn't be surprised if it's been in the works for a bit.
Any of you guys into this kind of filth?

Last album was in 2011. Not-so-patiently waiting on their next release. Seriously I can't think of a better sludge band currently other than Neurosis.
Been on a serious Crowbar kick lately though. Holy fuck are those riffs chunky.
I just wanna hear if Missing is ever actually going to do anything. Charlie and Ken intended for it to be a continuation of OG Lord Mantis before they turned into Indian 2.0, but as anyone who knows the dude can tell you, Charlie is a fucking mess and can barely keep himself together. I really want to hear some material from them, but I'm beginning to fear that it's just not going to happen and that Ken will wind up just using it for Abigail Williams because Charlie can't commit.
So the new Megadeth is actually pretty good. It's not perfect and some songs have a lack of hooks, but overall it's definitely worth listening to, much heavier than the last two, and Dystopia may be the best Megadeth song of the 2010s (of course, it should be noted that i also didnt think that Cryptic Writings or Super Collider, two of the most derided megadeth albums, were all that bad).
I was pleasantly surprised with Dystopia, and also didn't really dislike Super Collider. It seems to get criticized mainly for being more hard rock than metal and "zomg there's a song with a banjo", yet that song is one of the best on the album IMO.
Somehow you know that the time is right.I haven't listened to it yet, but if it works better than Th1rt3n then it should be good enough.
OH GOD WHY AM I A CAR!? - ForzareGorguts have posted a preview of their new album due out in May. It's supposed to be a single track epic a la Crimson. I can't wait.
That new Destroyer 666. DAAAAAAAMN. More than makes up for Defiance.
So Pentagram is coming to town on March 13 and doing a meet-and-greet at a local music store beforehand. I think I'm gonna try to go.
Somehow you know that the time is right.Pentagram were coming here last year I think but it cocked up. Hell, I think every time Pentagram tried to Canada it went to shit for some reason.
New Zealotry album finally up for pre-order.
Somehow you know that the time is right.Sounds more aggressive than the last one and the production is very spacey. I love it. This has a high chance of being my AOTY if the rest of the album is on the level.
Truthfully I don't think he's resting in peace; I think he's tearing up where ever he is. Swigging whiskey and rocking out.
I'm still massively bummed by this; probably will be for a while. Man was one of my heroes.
