Thought only one session's victory for the humans was actually sanctioned by paradox space, after English's machinations messed up our universe and made it terminal.

So every fanventure we see should ultimately end with everyone dead, or at least stuck in a useless session forever.

Being stuck in a useless session sounds ok as long as it doesn't get destroyed too soon.

And if I really were in Sburb I feel I'd be more of a supporter than a fighter.

No, no, plenty of Sessions can win in Universe B.

It's just that the B1 ones only have a few days at most before the Scratch hits, and it's implied that the only ones to play at all in B2 are the Alpha Kids. And the latter is also the case for A2, though less strongly, I'd imagine. A1, however, could possibly have several winning sessions, as I understand it.

Yeah I'd probs be passive as well.

I think any players who were in their own Sessions by that point were spared the Scratch. And in A2, didn't Sollux invent Sgrub based on code he found in one of the Frog Temples?

And Hussie has stated that the Scratch effects all Sessions.

I don't think that capability has much to do with success. Given crap from other sessions can affect you, you might get screwed anyway.

Stuff from other Sessions interacting with a Session isn't normal; it's probably only English who can even cause that, anyways.

Hey for anyone whose seen Space☆Dandy, do you think the Condesce makes a good Counterpart Comparison to Admiral Perry? Not a 1 to one comparison, just a lot of similarities.

They're both rulers of galaxy spanning empires, important antagonists who look threatening, but have silly streaks. Inspite of the silliness, they really are credible antagonists. And the big joke behind them is that their forces represent mundane companies in real life: Betty Crocker and Google. Perry is Larry Page, and Condy is, the fictional, Betty Crocker.

Wait why would a scratch in one session affect another session from the same base universe?

Because it resets the entire universe by reconfiguring when certain meteors land in it, and wipes out all the Sessions because of that.

It shouldn't effect them. They still occur, just as sessions of the original B1 instance. Only if the Scratch, would they potential split of into like B3 or something. Which is only so named because B2 was already taken.

They occur, but are also wiped out by the Scratch for the same reason the Scratching Session itself is wiped out. So they should be fine if they already won their Session, I'd say, but Hussie's mentioned that Fedorafreak ascended but was erased in the Scratch.

If I remember correctly, his replacement was FedoraFriend who thought Fedoras were okay.

@Raichu- That doesn't make sense though. The Universe instance itself is uneffected. Their lands orbit different Skaias. Their sessions should still be viable. More likely they just have cancerous session destroying bombs in their Skaias that erased them.

It's just the whole thing with the doomed timelines again. Damara knows how things are "supposed" to go, but rather than bother trying to shepherd different timelines toward it, she seems pretty much content to let people (i.e. Cronus) keep suiciding themselves into doomed timelines if they want to keep killing her.

My impression was Cronus keeps dooming the timeline and Damara keeps resetting it to the proper one while letting him keep his memories to mess with him, because Damara.

Well, think of it this way; Dave and Rose landing when previously Bro and Mom did would have an effect on the world-at-large, however slight. Any changing of the past would mean that all the Sessions revert.

Presumably in cases where said history changing wouldn't affect a particular Session, it happens in the new incarnation as well as the old one, and goes exactly the same in each, but actually finishes in the latter.

Ah, looks like Cronus doomed the timeline when he killed Damara the first time, so now ghost Damara keeps coming back to screw with him, yeah.

Oh man that ending was really creepy and cool. I wish there was more, to elaborate on and add more stuff, like what happened with Kurloz and Meulin. It would make for a really great story that way.

Although maybe the manga it's based on does that? Perhaps I should check it out.

You should definitely check out Tomie. It is very much the same, but with more Body Horror. :D Tomie can't just reset time, she has to grow back, you see...
