Merry Holidays, everyone.

@Dr Psyche: That's a pretty neat Vriska, actually

@Ninety: Here too. Damn.

@Bocaj: I'm actually finally getting the three books I'm missing from that manga: 7th, 8th and 9th. Because for some reason, when I ordered them last year, the bookstore didn't send me those -_-' However I might finally have the entire series YAAAAAAY!

I tried that manga a while ago, and somehow the whole thing just did not click with me. Probably one of the only mangas I've ever given away.

It's been fun.

I started watching Made in Abyss after watching the Super Eyepatch Wolf rec vid. Really enjoying it so far.

Made in Abyss is amazing. It gets pretty gruesome, though, just as a warning.

It's been fun.

I've been watching Land of the Lustrous. It's real good and I hope it gets a season 2.

I've been on the fence about whether to read Made in Abyss or not. I'm usually not a fan of the gruesome stuff, but it sounds pretty interesting.

It's very good, and the art is amazing. However, it is dark, intense, and in some cases, pretty nudity-ful.

I'd recommend watching at least episode 1 of the anime, too, so you can hear what's probably the best song in the OST, Hanezeve Caradhina.

It's been fun.

Made in Abyss has an awful fanbase that tends to really overstate how dark and gory it is. Which robbed the kind of dark and gory bits of much of their impact, for me, because I had been primed to expect much worse.

^While this is fair, it also kind of depends (in my opinion) on whether or not you stop before the end of layer 5.

But that's shop talk.

It's been fun.

@Gil: Yeah in almost everything it's good to just, mute the fans and haters. They can be a real drag. I know Homestuck fans were proud of the comic's inaccessibility but that's good for an in-joke, not something you'd use to get people interested.

Besides, hyping up something as dark and gory isn't a good thing. Blood-C was dark and Gory and that sucked. Mnemosyne was decent in spite of its gore and torture porn not because of it. Darkness and Gore are just tropes and not indicative of quality.

I'm also going to start Ash Vs. Evil Dead seeing as it's on Netflix. And the new Kino's Journey.

@Ninety: I watched the first season of that and I was pleasant surprised by how entertaining it was. I should get around to watching the second season.

@Red: Well, I've read Berserk, so I should be able to handle it. It's just that I don't particularly prefer that sort of thing, so it has to be really good otherwise to be worthwhile.

Re: Lucifer and Biscuit Hammer: I tried reading it a while back and couldn't get into it. I should give it another shot sometime.

I watched Konosuba a little while ago, on the advice of some friends. It's really fun.

L&BH was good. And a nice break from the "save the world by destroying it" villains of Negima.

Man episode 10 of Made in Abyss is real hard to watch. Impressive all around though.
