I think just rename the trope to something more like a Good/Evil version of Uncatty Resemblance and then move....whatever anyone else misused the evil look as to Evil Makes You Ugly page.
You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction.Evil Makes You Ugly is likely too extreme or merely too off for most of the examples on the page.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I think that Evil Makes You Ugly is too specific to act as a viable counterpart if this is cleaned up and made into a pet-only thing. The change might not make the character /ugly/.
Bumping this again, after noticing it's use in How To Train Your Dragon.
I still think a split is in order - the concept of using slight stylistic difference to subtly reflect changes in personality or character is not only a big part of the animation I see it in, but the more I am aware of it's presence the more I see it in things. This needs to be represented.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Bring me a sample of wicks and maybe we just need to move the name to the other trope and find a new name for the persomorphic reflective ancillary pieces.
Also, I'm not sure what makes you think it was meant to be specifically about pets and minions. It looks like the inverse to me- it's meant to be broad, it's meant to be the whole environment and small quirks that reflect the ruling presence and the misuse is focusing on "face"- the reflections in the character themselves.

Wow, this died. Nonetheless, it's October so let's see what we can do here.
According to the last wick coun, only two wicks were using the original definition. I agree with SSOT that this trope is broader than we think it is.
Before we get a PA crowner up, let's try to get some options on the table.

How about keeping it to the original description, rename it and split off what it's being used for or doing the reverse?
"Learning without thinking is labor lost. Thinking without learning is dangerous."Should we make a crowner here?

Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
It's recently come to my attention that Angel Face, Demon Face was intended to be specifically about pets/minions changing appearance based off of their masters' actions. This is... surprising, because it's almost never used that way: instead, in inbound wicks and almost half the examples, it's usually used for the tangential, slightly broader definition given in the third paragraph of the description. Laconically: "A character's physical appearance changes as alignment shifts."
While the original definition can fit into that one depending on how it goes, I have never come across a wick that specifically references the pet definition, and most use it in reference to characters themselves.
In any case, this seems like a classic case of the trope being received, and thus being used, as something different than it was intended. As always in these cases, I suggest we just split out the original meaning and make the trope about what it's being used for.
