Exactly. It absolutely will have a mainline Pokemon title on it if it's even remotely successful.
But I'm not sure Gamefreak is up to the task of making it, given it has to have graphics comparable to other 8th generation console games, and look good on a big screen, too. That's a huge jump up from playing it safe with significantly weaker handheld hardware.

Maybe they could cooperate with a more experienced company like they did with Pokken and Nintendo did with Smash 4?
I, for one, welcome a main Pokemon game running with similar processing power to Skyrim. Maybe update all of the models to have a shit-ton more detail, Pokken-style.
Pokemon games looking a generation behind is pretty much standard operating procedure. I wouldn't worry about it too much
Well, the models were future-proofed, so they'll look nice. Other than that, lets see how SM work, as so far they are getting close to console standards.
@What region I'd live in
I'm pretty much fine here in IRL Unova. But Kalos has a lot of nice looking places too. It's either Unova or Kalos, since I don't like too hot or too cold, and the rest are... meh.
Goddammit, Schezo...@What region I'd live in
I hate winter. I get Cabin Fever from being stuck inside for so long, and the heat is not nearly as bad as the cold in my book. According to this Britannica page, Kyushu is known for it's heavy rainfall. I've also been to New York, and coming from the suburbs of Cleveland it feels immensely crowded. One of my family members almost died on a trip there. That leaves the Kanto and Johto regions (based on Honshu: fairly temperate all around), which are kind of boring, Kalos (which is an entire country: varied climate all around, lots of Pokemon but not a very interesting region) and Alola.
I'd definitely live in Alola if I had the choice.
WHAT!? NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE IN UNOVA?! WHY NOT?!
Really though, I love Unova as a region, it looks so pretty and the scenery and people are really nice for the most part.
Warrior to the very end! My tumblr, dood!Kanto and Johto are probably still crawling with Rocket goons, both Hoenn and Alola are very hot, and Sinnoh is very cold. Unova has a bunch of good things going for it, including the fact that it's closest to the United States in terms of climate, so I'd live there.
It's been 3000 years…Alola has Lusamine, Wicke, Olivia, Plutia, the random female swimmer with the slowpoke staring at it in one of the earlier traiers......
Yeah, Alola has the best babes.
Though I prefer the cold, so Sinnoh's climate is fine.
Watch SymphogearCan't remember if this was linked here or only in the Heap
Well, Hoenn seems to be close to where I live in terms of climate. The problem is that very hot climates are quite annoying for me, so it's a problem.
However, it has some pretty cool places to live, like Lavaridge and Sootopolis. I think I could get used to it. :3
... And that's called jazz!That's what I'm thinking.
@alpha: i said that iiii want to live in Unova
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeUnova for me as well. It seems like New York. I wonder if Gamefreak would do another region based on a state again. I would hope for North Carolina. Why? No reason
North Carolina after Hawaii feels like a couple (hundred) steps down
I know. Russia would more sense. Still I would like see a region based on the South East US.
Florida or Louisiana would make more sense for a Southeastern US-based region.
We may see a region based on California or Texas. Florida is somewhat less likely. Lousiana is much less likely.

America-wise I'd like to see some of the midwest instead of more of the east coast. There's some pretty beautiful sights out there.
As for regions I'd like to see. There's some pretty places on the coast of Mexico. I'd also like to see Brazil, and Canada.
Wait. How are two of the biggest tourist destination states in the United States less likely than Texas?
I would love to see a Brazil region, but that's mainly some bias on my part.

Personally, outside of the United States. I'd love to see a region based on Greece or Italy. Maybe someday we'll get a region based on Tohoku, but it's looking pretty unlikely as of yet. Game Freak should be glad they switched over to Unova: there would be tons of controversy once the earthquake hit...
A Brazil-based region? It could work wonders or be very cringeworthy. Not sure, but I'd be quite curious. Not a bad idea. :)
... And that's called jazz!I'm also curious as to what they would make for a Brazilian region, for obvious reasons :P
Although it'd be a little ironic considering Nintendo fled the country >_<
@Yinyang 107: I only remember linking it in the heap.
The thing about Switch is that it's not a console. It's a real powerful gameboy that can display on your TV.
Oh really when?
