And if that isn't blatantly fishing for DVD sales I don't know what is. Let me know when it gets uploaded to Youtube.

[up][up]I want to see that alternate ending. I think I might purchase the "Complete Series" so I can watch it; I also didn't think I have seen every episode since I only started watching How I Met Your Mother during the 8th Season.

I hope it's an actual alternate ending and not a joke. For the Lost finale they kept saying "See the alternate endings on Jimmy Kimmel after the finale!" as if they were actual, legit, alternate endings. But were instead joke endings spoofing the endings from other shows.

[up]Here is what Bay's said in the link.

“We only shot one script, but through edit-room magic we had two possible outcomes for the series. We chose the ending we chose and we stand by it. But we loved the other version too. We’re going to include that version on the Complete Series DVD as an alternate finale to How I Met Your Mother,” he wrote in a series of tweets. Bays described the alternate ending as “very different” from the one that aired.

Here is a link to the image of the DVD package.

It could mean any number of things, especially from the line "We only had one script." The same basic outcome but just expanded (which is what I want), or a completely reworked ending that changes everything. I will agree that a joke alternate ending would result in more rioting.

While it's nice and all Bay and Thomas are righting their wrong, can we please stop talking about the ending until said alternate ending comes out, for the time being.

Now, onto another subject. Anyone agree with this proposition for a Japanese dub cast (assuming there isn't one already):

Kenichi Suzumura - Ted

Maaya Sakamoto - Tracy Mc Connell

Megumi Toyoguchi - Robin

Hikaru Midorikawa - Marshall

Mamiko Noto - Lily, Wendy, Jasmine/Stripper Lily

Ryotaro Okiayu - Barney

Kouki Uchiyama - Luke

Rie Kugimiya - Penny

Kosuke Toriumi - Carl

Hisao Egawa - Ranjit, Marvin Sr., James,

Houko Kuwashima - Victoria, Zoey, Claudia

Yukana - Stella

Jun Fukuyama - Kevin, Scooter, Brad, Don, Stuart, Clint

Akio Ohtsuka - Jerome, Druthers

Norio Wakamoto - The Captain, Robin Sr.

Takahiro Sakurai - Punchy, Klaus, Sandy Rivers, Blauman

Mamoru Miyano - Steve (The Blitz guy), Randy, Daryl, Darren

Hiroshi Kamiya - Curtis, William Zabka

Hiroyuki Yoshino - Linus, Bilson, Honeywell

Arisa Ogasawara - Quinn, Coat-Check Girl, Katie, Patrice

Minami Takayama - Judy, Crazy Meg, Penelope, Professor Lewis

Mika Kanai - Virginia

Koichi Yamadera - Alfred

Rie Tanaka - Karen, Kara, Becky, Amy, Natalie

Shinichiro Miki - Cootes, Tim Gunn.

Chikao Ohtsuka - Mickey

Unsho Ishizuka - Sam Gibbs, Simon, Greg

Shigeru Nakahara - Marvin Jr.

Satoshi Hino - Marcus

Kikuko Inoue - Loretta, Genevieve

Sayaka Ohara - Nora

Yui Horie - Katie, Trudy

Ami Koshimizu - Carly, Rachel, Jeannette

That will be all. If anyone's got suggestions for one-time character, please say so. Don't be shy.

Binged season 4 ~ 5 last week. It was quite enioyable, even Ted. Actually, Lily was often really annoying during those time.

I'm planning to binge the remaining four seasons in the summer.

Doesn't matter if the alternate ending does a crossover with Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to a great number of fans the writers burned their bridges.

Count this fan as one who honestly, seriously, believes they need professional help.

What I'm wondering is if the audio commentary for Season 9 DV Ds will be recorded before or after witnessing the storm that the finale kicked up.

I'm personally hoping for an alternate end crossover with the Avengers where the Chutari suddenly burst in, followed by the Hulk.

Will And Grace got a two hour ending. Why did CBS only give them a double episode for the ending?

Because at its height Will & Grace was pulling 17 million viewers and HIMYM only occasionally managed two-thirds of that? Because TV real estate is much more precious these days? Because a two-hour finale would be impossible to sell in syndication? Because NBC in 2006 has different business practices and priorities than CBS in 2014 does?

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.

Actually that would be pretty cool to see. Or Barney's daughter's mother turned out to be Sarah Michelle Gellar, if that was in the ending then I would honestly give it a chance. But seriously any alternate ending would have to make the one aired basically null and void to earn the redemption of many fans.

All those reasons I guess.

Although I'm surprised Will & Grace was that highly-rated, I never knew it did that well.

[up]That show was like Friends to me. Bewilderingly popular to others yet completely lacking in anything that would keep me watching.

And I have watched some really weird shit in my telly viewing lifetime and loved it.

Sorry to ask this again, but people, please answer. Why didn't Barney award himself with The Belt after Shelter Island, since he was able to pull off a threeway in that episode?

Because Ted already won it. It's the FIRST one to win it, not just "everyone who ever rides the tricycle."

So, I just rewatched "Not A Father's Day."

The claims that Barney's character development was what allowed him to become a father in the finale come up really dry given this episode. He actually seems even more devoted to shirking parental responsibilities in the finale than in the earlier episode. In fact, he seems to take the possibility that he might've gotten the girl pregnant a lot better in "Not a Father's Day." MAYBE the character development is what led to his "everything I have is yours" speech, but given how he acted during each pregnancy scare, it's pretty impossible to claim that his development wasn't completely reverted as there's no way to know he wouldn't have done the same thing back in season 4.
